    Doing a fuel consumption test in an Audi A3 1.5 TFSI COD - Cylinder On Demand - (MY2017 / 8V) with 150hp. The engine has a displacement of 1498cm³. The car is fitted with a 7-speed S-Tronic dual clutch automatic transmission and front wheel drive.
    For an average, exact calculation look here: www.spritmonitor.de/de/detail...
    Aim of this test is not to give an exact specification of the fuel consumption of this car, but to show an approximation of the fuel consumption under real life circumstances.
    As the result also depends on tyres, size of the rims, road condition, weather and equipment that may alter the exact weight of the car, your personal experience may differ from mine.

    In the City 6-10 liters are possible, it depends on the traffic and where you drive.
    The cod works from low speed in a small gear up to 130kmh, you can really save fuel if you use it properly.

    The car is amazing specially here in Finland where I live. We have a lot of roads where you can only drive 80km/h and the comsumption is really low on that speed. I think realistic city comsumption for this car is around 6l. Depends how you drive and what is the environment. You need to remember that everything is about how you drive it, this car consumption can also be something else if you don't know what "economical driving" means.

    How is the new 'atkinson' 1.5 tsi vs the old 1.4 tsi in terms of driving dynamics? I have a Passat 1.4tsi 2018 model and think it's great, whent to Stockholm and back (1000 km) on one tank and averaged 5.2 l/100km.

    How do you calculate the city consumption as you said 10l/100km when the computer said 7.5? 10l/100km is very heavy for a 2300lb car with stop/start and running on 2cyl/750cc most of the time. In 1975 the epa rated an 8200cc 5500lb cadillac at just over twice that - 11mpg us!

    • @Ferferrol14

      No, because the air inlet is closed for those 2 cylinders so there's no air to compress for them

    ADVICE , REV THEM UP , BECAUSE CARBON WILL BE BUILT. WHAT EVER YOU SAVE FROM FUEL , YOU WILL PAY FOR REPAIRS.
    THE ENGINES SHOULT REV MORE THAN 2000RPM , AND OCCASIONALY MORE THAN 4000 RPM.
    THATS FOR ALL GASOLINE ENGINES.
    LOW REVS PUT LOTS OF STRAIN ON THE PISTON RINGS. THEY GET LOOSE AND WORN , AND THEN THE ENGINE BURNS OIL .

  • @HansKuhlmann
    @HansKuhlmann 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    At 200kmh you consume twice as much as at 130 kmh!
    But that engine is quite economic compared to cars of the eighties or nineties. An average consumption of 6-8 litres was ok for cars with petrol engines of 70-80hp. Only Diesels consumed less than 6 litres.
