Awesome video. More of this please! I think they did a good call with the jump ball because both got into clearly before, but Can was right, Radovic should have called that foul on the rebound.
Sorry it was actually a very bad call. If you stop the video at exactly 4.57, you see both Shane and Rodrigue stepping in earlier than Tarik. How come he didn`t see Shane who was right in front of him?
@@oriolhermosilla He didn't see Larkin though but only Rodrigue because he was responsible for checking Rodrigue and other Fener player whilst that ref who said it was Tarık actually was there to check Tarık and Shane. It might not seem a big deal nonetheless within last two minutes no Coach challenge for Saras and that bad call might have been a game decider if Efes had won by one point at the end. I'm also not happy that ref warning Rodrigue not to catch the screener. Well, these are pro players and they do use their hands mostly on purpose during off ball chase. Simply call it when you see it and tell him not to do again. Otherwise it's not effective and might change the course of the game in favour of one team vs other who play to the rules.
@@CoachTun The order of players is not relevant. It is only relevant whether players of both teams crossed the 3 point line before the ball hits the rim. As this is what happened here, the call is correct.
@@luk17032000 Two opponent players behind 3 point line entered into perimeter early, this is violation and free throw shot had to be repeated. Additionally, akin to a free throw lane violation by lined up players around the lane, you also look at the player who does step over "the boundary line" first. This is due to "react" nature of the game as well as ruling the possession i.e. The move by a player who does a free throw lane or perimeter violation might trigger an automatic reaction of other player(s). In this case, because two ref didn't see two Efes players did trigger this violation and then Tarık but they had the disagreement of either Rodrigue or Tarık, one of whom were assumed to be the "only" player in violation, they decided jump ball, however this was a wrong call.
This is super helpful as a new referee. I never realized just how different the field and angle of vision becomes when you're on the floor watching the game vs in the stands (where you can look down and across). Being on the floor makes things more 2D and is an adjustment for me at least.
This is fun. An improvement may be a cam on the head or glasses. The direction they are looking at might be quite different than the body at times. Still a very nice extra.
We wait for the wrong decisions and acts, for instance, after the jump ball decision where the referee throwed the ball to air? Wilbekin’s technical foul when the screener player hit him? Darius thompson’s hook to player’s back and didn’t take offensive faul. Be more fair and realistic, we bored…
very cool, more of this please
Same reaction
It should be an educational video for all referees.
Yes, title: "how not to act as a referee".

@@CoachTun Yes, you are right! My fault and actually Radovic was right.

That's wonderful. Great experience and I think it helps us to understand what a difficult job it is being a referee. Respect referees!
