this is comedy gold for anyone in the 606's world😂. fred is funny and knowledgable he makes all the problems seem so simple and funny because they are!
For the head gasket-true.. two head gaskets failed on my 605, first one after 15 000km on 1.6 bar(maybe because it overheated a couple of months before that and i found two broken head bolts inside and i thought lets replace it.. replaced it, machined the head, all new parts around, never overheated it after that and then i raised to boost to 2.65 bar and compression gases found their way again in into the water system.. Also water was going into the cylinders and damaged the engine. Would never do over 2 bar without upgraded head bolts because it is really a waste of time. Lasts 10,15,20 thousand km depending on your driving style but you will fail eventually. Sad but true
We need to talk, I am working on billet pistons, rods, valve springs etc for my OEM 606 and I am looking to sell parts. Also Hestaloy prechambers ! I am working also working on a damper, sprockets and other parts !!!
I just want an om606 at the most to get to 270-300hp. Put it in my 260z. I want reliability and mpg s are opposed to 400-500 hp. I want it to never break. I am think the 350z-370z transmission will do. But what for the diff ? Subaru sti for diff ? Also if I crash the car I don’t want to burn in it … rip Paul Walker..
The bolt kit we sell is a stretch bolt style bolt just to keep it factory and not needing to re-torque etc. Our kit is only €199 so it's a really cheap nice upgrade.
If you're talking about the crankshaft, he answered a comment on another video to use "the most bad ass cylindrical locking you can find" and states loctite 648 as an example.

And videos are great man, every one opens a new pair of eyes 🙂 thanks you!

What head bolts do you recommend?
some say 12.9 grade stud but what would the torque value be. The oem bolts have a multi stage procedure.

@@FtunePerformance Where can I buy them? I don't think your website works
@@FtunePerformance Also what did you mean by glue the crank pulley?
@@neverendingprojects I don't have a website. Just hit me up and I'll sort you out.
String cheese but sharp cheddar guys. Good for 250 plus.😊
Carburetor user here - when you say "glue" - what kind of glue?

Bmw likes their 🧀 bolts and friction fit crank hubs as well🤣🇩🇪💪😖
Please enlight me, to pin the sockets on cranck or to pin only the cranck pulley (that is a cranck dumper I think)
Not damper. Need to glue the sprocket inside on the crank.
@@FtunePerformance so the cranck must be taken out to do that, right?
@@zellingstones no it can be done with the crank in the block.
