The clock store would be the one store I would want to see, besides the first vintage clothing store. The hotel you stayed at wasmy favorite part of the video. What a special place. I love live music.
Thank you for watching!! Yes the McMenamins really know how to make their hotels into amazing experiences!! Perhaps the next time we go I’ll be brave enough to get to the back of the clock store, it’s frustrating to think there might have been the perfect treasure just feet away and I didn’t get to it!! I’m working hard on facing my fears!!
Funny, I live in Tacoma & knew the Elks club had been renovated because I drive by it on the street behind. I had no idea it was a hotel now. Now I’m going to have to visit it. 😊
Oh you must check it out!! There’s even a hidden bar that is open on the weekends after 4pm you should try to find!! Definitely walk up to the top floor and see the arboretum and chandeliers too!! 💜🤩
Hi Brigette, Your channel popped up on my YT feed this morning, 11/14. I grew up in Seattle, but now live in the Tacoma area. I have been going to all of the places that you featured in your video today for many years. I've been thrifting for about 35 years. There is one antique store on Antique Row that you didn't show. Talk about claustrophobic. I don't know how the owners even put new inventory in the store. You hit the 38th GW on a good day. I have never seen it that organized before. The McMenamin's Elks is a wonderful fairy tale location, but I love all of their locations. These guys are my hero's for saving historic buildings. Happy shopping!
I love the McMenamins brothers!! I actually worked for them from 1994 - 1998!! Those guys are so amazing and I’ve been to every location!! My favorite is Edgefield in Troutdale but second favorite is the Elks!! I did pass by that claustrophobic store but didn’t go in so I didn’t feature it in the video, it said “Men’s Vintage Accessories” on the window if that’s the one you’re referring to. My husband wanted to go in but one glance and I was out!! 😂. Thanks so much for sharing!!!💜
@@brigittelefever That is very cool working for the McMen Brothers. I've been told by various staff that they are good people to work for. My ex and I discovered Edgefield in the middle 90"s. That's my fav too. I also like The Kennedy School in Portland. I've stayed there and then went on the Irvington Historic Home Tour. I do love the Elks. It's wonderful to see the building come back to life. That overstuffed store has art, furniture and a ton of crap in it. I should drive up there, I'm in Lakewood, to see what the window says. Thanks for your reply!
Thank you so much!! I checked out your channel and it’s really good!! I had no idea vintage makeup could be so profitable!! I subscribed and am starting from the beginning and will watch up to current. You have such a sweet and soothing voice!! Great information as well!! 💜
Right!! Haha!! I’m determined to try it again next time but someone pointed out they might be so over stocked because their prices might be sky high. I will at least determine that and let everyone know!! 😊💜
I saw you on Andi's All Put Together latest garage sale video. You should consider showing sold comps rather than listed prices. That is what other youtubers I watch recommend.
About "La Galerie" When I enter an overstuffed store I get really exited, I can spend hours looking at everything, BUT if there are no price tags it always gives me the feeling that if there such a big inventory it could be that they're not selling because it's also overpriced. But then again you can also bargain if you charm the seller by getting severals items. Salut du Québec ⚜ first time on your channel.
Hello!! Thank you for watching!! Good point about the prices. Next time I go I’ll make sure to ask and see how the prices are!! I’m planning on trying that store again to face my fears in the future!!!
Love watching your videos-I live on the Oregon Coast. So I swear I am not a stalker, but this was a Groundhog Day video for me. My husband and I stayed at McMenamins Tacoma in the beginning of September. We were in the room next to you-at the corner of the building. Such amazing views! We went to all the same antique shops. Fun to look at everything, but definitely priced for collectors. If you would have continued toward the main busy street past Mecca Mercantile there was a shop called Urban Squirrel. Great vintage priced for me-a reseller! I bought a couple bags worth of treasure. Didn’t go thrifting but I may have to if we get up there again. As a side note, I also learned to drive in a VW Vanagon! We must be around the same age 😊
@@Summertimevintage Omg!! That’s so crazy!! We were actually there on Sept 12,13. We actually stayed in that corner room the first time we were there!! We plan on going back again in the spring and will totally hit up that Urban Squirrel next time, thanks for the heads up!! I absolutely love our Oregon coast! Do you sell in a store or online? I would love to see your shop!! Thank you so much for commenting, we are definitely kindred spirits!!💜💜💜
@ I only sell online right now-eBay and Posh. Getting ready to launch Etsy. I’m on the “list” at 3 different malls for a booth. The list are long here since it’s touristy!
❤ You have a great point of view and a really nice voice to listen to. The visuals are causing me eyestrain because I want to see the items, but the camera is moving too quickly and kind of dancing and swimming around and not focusing (for me anyway)😢
@@BernadetteWohl I understand. Thanks for the input. The actual sound in the background is too disruptive with people talking and music that would cause a copyright strike so I put copyright free music in. I work very hard on choosing the music but I know it’s not for everyone. Music is a very personal thing and my videos are my personal way of expressing my art form of video editing. I appreciate your feedback.
What a fun trip. I would love to go on a thrifting trip and explore new places.
Thank you!! I want to do this more often!!💜

The music was ok for me but the fast panning made me dizzy.
