Great presentation on the almost forgotten battles in Spain.
Interesting that the French co ordination with Spanish guerillas as opposed to the Napoleonic campaign in Spain.

Fact: the Duke of Vendome's name is Louis Joseph de Bourbon, a great grandson of King Henry IV of France.
Also unlike his elder brother in Oudenarde, Philip V was able to cooperate with Vendome which gave him victories.

Philip V did work very well with Vendome. They were even said to talk to each other rather casually even on the battlefield.

Concerning the French troops participation in the battle under Vendome...below is an extract from Wikipedia :
The Bourbon army was rapidly refitted and reorganized by French general the duc de Vendôme, who was lent to Philip V's service by the latter's grandfather, the Sun King. Spanish volunteers and regular units were joined by the Irish brigade and by French troops secretly directed to enter Spanish service.

What a battle ! It shows that it is in battle that glory is won , there is no other source of it , in this world .
I thought the battle was very well explained. Adding computerized animated figures makes it cutter , but it does not add to the clarity of the explanation, which was crystal clear .
