On this recording, ‘My Generation’ is followed by ‘See me, Feel me’ which leads into music from their rock opera ‘Tommy’. The full band of Pete Townsend (guitar), Keith Moon (drums), John Entwistle (bass) and of course Roger Daltrey (vocals) were at the peak of their powers. Without question, they were the best live band of their age - period, full stop. Long live the Who!! Great reaction - love the channel. Cheers!

Great, great album. One of the best live recordings ever. Next from this album…. Magic Bus. You won’t be disappointed. And from what you said, you haven’t experienced Tommy, or Quadrophenia yet. So you’ve just scratched the surface of a very deep rabbit hole worth jumping into. I was lucky enough to experience this music when it came out, and to see The Who perform in the 70’s. Back then, they were the best group to see live. Bar none. And the bass player is John Entwistle. One of the best. He also played horns, and had both the deepest voice (listen to Boris The Spider), and the highest falsetto in the group.
Funny thing about John Entwistle: he hated playing Magic Bus. He said something like, "It's just one note going thump - thump - thump." Or words to that effect.
The Who are mostly known for the songs of Pete Townshend but their bluesy rock jams with just the 3 pieces of bass, drums and guitar are among the finest moments in rock music....
This album is a legend in the history of rock 'n' roll...there's nothing to add, only that is a milestone, that has influenced so many rockers to come...
Man, you've chosen a epic live jam to start your dive into The Who. The entire LEEDS album is awe-inspiring. It's generally ranked near or at the top of the best live album lists. If you want to check our more live Who, go to the rest of the LIVE AT LEEDS album (recorded at Leeds University, February 14, 1970), "Young Man Blues" and "Water" from the Isle Of Wight festival 1970, "See Me, Feel Me", "Sparks", "Summertime Blues", "Pinball Wizard" and "My Generation" from Woodstock and "Roadrunner/My Generation Blues" from the Pontiac Silverdome 1975. Plus there's the great studio albums: WHO'S NEXT, QUADROPHENIA, TOMMY, SELL OUT, WHO BY NUMBERS, MY GENERATION. Dive down the Who rabbit hole, Rory. You'll love it. And the awesome bass player in The Who? John Entwistle. Best rock bassist ever.

thank you for saving me the time to write the same thing.
NOTHING like live Who. Blessed to have seen these guys, original band with Keith. Greatest show of my life
John Entwistle is the bass player and is a huge influence on bass players that came after him like Geddy Lee from Rush and Chris Squire of Yes.

The Who: maximum R&B!
The bass is killing it in this song!

Multi song jam. Sparks is one of my favorites.
Un des plus grands "Live" de toute l'histoire du rock. C'est un concert donné à l'université de Leeds.
I sat in my bedroom and smoked a lot of weed listening to this in the 70’s man was I lucky!
Loved your reaction. Greatest live band ever. So lucky to have seen them with Moon & Entwistle at full power 🎸
It's definitely insane. Haven't listened to it for so many years - just so good.
Leeds is a college in England. 😊

Definitely one of the greatest recorded rock and roll performances of all time.
My earliest favorite album.
One of my absolute favourite albums. This gig hovers round the top in my list of 'time machine worthy' concerts.
Had this album when I was young. I love it! John Entwistle played bass; he was a powerhouse!
Another one of Geddy's bass heros
Keith is the greatest ❤
The Greatest Live Rock Band Period. Look No Further. The Who The Most Exciting Live Band Ever. Led Zeppelin? Shit ‘em!!
The Guess Who American Women. Burton Cummings. A Canadian Singer songwriter I know you'll love. Keep up the great work
They sound pretty good live...don't they?
The good stuff
"I don't know who the bass player is" a knife in my 59 year old heart. Long live John Entwistle. Long live the Ox.
Love the show Rory and the name is John Entwhistle(?sp) Johnny Twinkle, Thunder Fingers et al
And The Ox
Entwistle.
The OX man!
Can we get more Patti Smith
She does a killer version of My Generation
Listen to ALL of Quadrophenia.
You should listen to the first solo album by John Entwistle (Bassist)... Smash Your Head Against the Wall.
People that don't know john Entwistle solo albums..... what kind of people are they? 😅
