When I heard this in Metro Exodus I just sat there and refused to go further. It took me like 20-30 minutes, not even kidding, because this song has a special, personal meaning to me
as i am doing right now. right now i am playing metro exodus and i ve faced the song via dancer close to baron. I wanted to kill those men so hard, the music is awesome, she is dancing but she is hopeless. I stopped the game, now having a beer with the music, may be 1 hour later i will contunie walking to baron..
This music has something special... it's peaceful and happy...but also...it makes you fell queasy. It's like: "Im happy for now, but after that dance i will go to fight monsters again."
The point in which this is given to the player is so perfectly constructed. You've just fought through absolute hell and crawled through shit and somehow have made it to the other side. This small moment of "enjoyment" as we'll call it here combined with this music is just.... its inexplicable. I've become emotionally attached to the metro series with Artyom and Anna and its a roller coaster to say the least. I truly became overwhelmed with emotion at this part of the game. It was unexpected and gave a feeling of safety, but at the same time, you knew you had to leave and you had to jump back into the death pit of the metro. I wish I could explain this better, but words cannot describe my first experience with this.... it was perfect, I highly recommend this game series to anybody who likes to delve deep into story.
Try reading the books you'll have a whole new perspective, the games are from the same universe but it's two whole different stories and the caracters are completely different you will hate some you loved and vice versa
Is it just me, or this doesn't sound like proper music for lap dance? This track deserved more, maybe even could fit into good ending. It just sounds peacefully, yet dangerously. I like this one

SPOILERS I remember hearing this song in Last Light but I also caught it in Exodus when going up to speak to the Baron. It was an incredibly interesting moment in the game. I feel like Last Light’s tone is summed up well in this song. It’s dark and dirty. All the ugliness and dirtiness of the metro is exposed while Artyom is learning to adapt and cope with it all while not letting it turn him into a heartless bastard. I feel like this culminates in the decision to kill or spare Pavel. Exodus has a very different feel to it. It’s like a sense of fading hollow hope. It’s somewhere between sad and hopeful but not far enough to either side to tell which it has more of. You have the hope of a better life and the love of Anna and your friends but the hardships endured and the fact that the world outside is just as ugly as it is in the metro chip away at what hope Artyom has. This song and the women in the Barons fortress really accentuate this feeling for me.
I share that feeling, but in exodus I feel much better because even though most of me do everything I only know that I have friends and a wife waiting for me.

btw that's the only time you see artyom's "full body" during gameplay lol everything is visible and i didn't care about the girl dancing for hours i was just paying to see the legs and their details until i ran out of money like an idiot lol
