There's my Oogie costume at 11:07! It's always a pleasure helping out for another costume evolution video. I'm glad that you like my costume, especially the normal "burlap" design unlike what you see in the parks.
And yes, that video was filmed by my mother on Halloween Day in 2019. Speaking of which, I just showed that portion of the video to my parents, and they thought it was hilarious.

I love the Oogie Boogie costume so much, and it really feels like Disney has full embraced this as a true classic in recent years. Seeing the whole background and character rep history was fascinating
The reason why Oogie is the villain is because while everyone else in the town enjoys the fun kind of scare, Oogie enjoys scaring people to the point of it being traumatic for them. That's the reason he was banished from the town. He takes things too far.
Plus, he plans to add Santa as an ingredient to his snake and spider stew and literally gamble his life and killing of Santa is the biggest crime EVER! Also he wanted to kill Jack with his traps in his lair and tried to kill Sally for attempting to rescue Santa.

So we not gonna talk about how Dan’s Oogie Boogie impersonation was on point-
I feel like the reason why Oogie is such an entertaining character to look at is his design is so simple yet so iconic and charming because of its simplicity.
Also how can any not like Dan's laugh? It's so genuinely goofy and boisterous, sometimes it makes me wanna laugh, too. In other words, it's contagious XD

Not just eat, but also torture before eating him as well. I seriously don't how tim Burton can empathize with a monster like that, especially when he was taking delight in the whole thing.
Dan’s laugh is so iconic it’s impossible not to laugh
Dan’s laugh legitimately sounds EXACTLY like my uncle laughing so I didn’t even realize sometimes his laughter was being forced/faked. 😂 He even sounds like my uncle and has the same energy and inflections when he talks
I love Oogie Boogie he’s my favorite Nightmare Before Christmas character. Technically he is a villain because if you google the Oogie Boogie song lyrics he mentions wanting to eat Sandy Claws

Oogie is so huggable! I met him in Florida a week and a half ago at the DVC Halloween event! I was so happy to be able to met Oogie Boogie in the Florida parks!!

In the movie,we can all agree that everyone in the Halloween realm is evil,
if you really think about it,we can see everyone's personality
Jack is the type thats always curious,but would do things even if it harms others and if he's trying to do something others did already,he would make a plan up,but he uses others to do it. As he's the leader. He told the trick or treaters (the finest ones) to do the task he wanted,but he's the leader/king so they will do it.
Oogie boogie really explains alot here. He says he's a ''gambling guy'' and we can tell from the scene in his iconic song as it represents a casino as the guy in the video said and if ANYTHING (except bugs) come into his lAiR he will tie him up,lay him on a spiky stool back-layed. He is also made of bugs if your wondering how a spider hung when he said ''i might just split a seam if I don't die laughing first'' and when those pinkish purple worms came out of his mouth.He also kind of represents that toy you have made of fabric that you never use.
I don't have much to say about the Trick-or-treaters. (Shock,luck and whatever the short guy is called,not the one with the demon costume that starts with M) They listened to jacks request as they tried kidnapping Santa Claus (or sandy claws) by making a song of ideas which is an amazing song for a show made in 1993. But failed as they caught the easter bunny instead,but The witch-costumed girl which i think was named luck said ''My companions are really dumb'' or whatever,which might mean shes the leader.

Shes like the mom of the halloween town,she knows whats best for the Halloween Town and the people living in it as she didnt want to be making a santa costume for Jack but she knew she had to as hes more important,as hes the Pumpkin King. And she tried explaining that hes the pumpkin king,She also knew how jack was feeling as she spied on him.
I dont know much about the mayor so im not gonna say much
He listens to Jacks ideas as hes the king,He knew the plan of being Santa was a bad idea when he exploded,but hey atleast he had an epic landing on an angel book which i dont think many people pointed out. I mean he was worried about jack so that means hes probably when he knocked on the door 283485395938593 times but no answer he was Miserable,worried that next year wouldnt be complete,annoyed ect
Sorry if this took alot of your time but im not explaining everyone in the halloween town im just explaining some of the main-ish characters otherwise this would take years to complete and read.

they did (don't know if they still sell it in parks now) make a Oogie Boogie hat with a spider hanging from it for Halloween in 2018, in the brown Burlap rather than the green. I got one during my visit that year, and it's one of my favorite things from the parks! :)

I used to work at a child care center and one year a 4 year old came in on Halloween in a oogie boogie costume but it was basically a brown sack. It was so cute and cool

Sorry for the late response. I actually did show this to my mom, and she thought it was very funny. She loved it.
All of Oogie Boogie's costumes have been really good over the years but the articulated mouth version is stunning, I thought it was an anamatronic the first time I saw a video of it. It would be great to see him brought over to Disneyland Paris but since DLP is the forgotten child of the Disney parks I don't see it happening.

Well, the difference to my knowledge between Jack and Oogie is that Oogie wants to legitimately hurt (and possibly even eat) people whereas Jack and the rest of the town are more into giving scares for fun.

Me, sick of Dan's laughter? The laughter where, every time he laughs, an angel gets their wings? Why would I get sick of that?
Speaking of Oogie Boogie Bash, I got to go last year (and I intend on going this year as well) where Oogie Boogie's Treat Trail was the first Treat Trail that I got to do during the event. Since it was indoors and with the mask mandate going on at the time, I wore a green cloth face mask that glowed a neon green when under UV lighting (since I was wearing a Maleficent activewear outfit as a backup for reasons too complicated to get into). Let's just say that Oogie Boogie noticed. And yes, this was the first time I got to see the costume in person.
