I loved this! When I think about studying abroad I think about all the fun things I want to do but we all know nothing goes as planned so you gave me a few things to keep in mind.
I am thinking of studying in Italy for my exchange and this is sooo helpful to see in advance, thank you incredibly much for being so honest, I'll try my best to avoid these regrets❤️
Chloe Froning hi! I did feel safe for the most part in Venice, bologna, and Rome. The only city I had a little discomfort in terms of safety was in Milan. But for the most part it was safe. But always stay vigilant. You never know what could happen!
carothelina why Milan? I’m asking bc I’m choosing the city that I’m gonna study in for 6 years and I was really keen on Milan but now this made me doubt my decision a bit
Rojina Rashidi dont worry, im sure you’ll be fine many people live there and always end up just fine! but for me and my friends it was a little uncomfortable because someone almost broke into our airbnb & we had some people follow us on the street at night.. just dont stay out too late by yourself & find out what areas are safer & stay in those boundaries :)
carothelina nah no more questions unfortunately. But that’s only because I went to Florence this spring! But it got cut short and we were evacuated due to corona :(. But while I was there it was so fun! I only had one kinda scary moment where a drunk guy went after my friends pretty hair and I elbowed him and we ran, we were in a group and he was drunk but going by the general rule to not be stupid and not stay out late and not be alone worked very well. Loved the city.
i think you should be just fine! I went knowing veryy minimal italian and still was able to enjoy & learn in my experience there! you will get a lot better with practice. If you still have more questions reply to this with them and i’ll try to make another video with the response!
Breathing Oxyjenn it wasn’t difficult, because I had other international students w me. But also Italians are so friendly and kind!!! You will make friends, dont worry. I’m glad you enjoyed this!
Do you think it’s important to live with other students/exchange students when studying abroad or is it possible to make friends when living in a alone/in studio away from people? PLEASE RESPOND
I think its very helpful to live with or at least close by to other students that can relate to your experience and that you can rely on for safety & socializing reasons! But its not impossible to still have a good experience if you live on your own, as long as you still make connections with people & stay connected throughout your time abroad
Hi there! I know this was posted a year ago, but I going to start my masters soon at padua. Just wanted to ask if you can help out with any tips or feedback?
Hi! It was the particular card company I was using. So I suggest looking into one that has no fees, or just take out a significant amount of cash so you don't have to constantly take out cash and get the fee.
Hi! I am planning to study in Italy for the next academic year (2022). I just want to ask if you attended an Italian learning course first before applying for universities or you just proceed to your bachelor's/master's without Italian course study? I hope you see and answer this, it would be a big help for me. xoxo
More than getting a credit card, open a bank account in the country if you stay at least for a year up to a full degree That's one of the first things I did when I moved to the UK for my bsc almost 3 years ago And although sometimes i got bank issues, it's much easier to keep up your finances by having an account in the country you are staying
You are very right! For me it didnt makes sense since I stayed for a month. But I agree, you can save a lot of hassle opening one wherever you study abroad!
Very helpful tips, actually i have got admission in italy and i am moving on sep..can you send me your whatsapp so i can get more information about studying there..?
Really Thank u for the valuable advice, And one question comes to my mind if u don't mind, I was searching for official schools to travel to Italy and learn the Italian language, I am so serious even I Search in the internet it's not easy at all to find true one like really professional. I will appreciate your advice if u have any idea or number or link or some friends know maybe 😔🌹
You are very welcome, its advice I would've wished someone told me! And i dont know about official schools that teach the language but I am pretty sure most universities have classes. I dont know if that helps :/
A strong passion for languages was born in me but I'm not good at it, I don't know if my fatigue is connected to my being sensitive, introverted and blocked or not because I noticed that most people can study languages easily , I don't know if they were all born with the innate predisposition and I together with the minority are the only losers who don't have it and if you need to have a talent not to struggle with languages ♤♤♤

Looks like Italy is gonna be the place for me, cuz I too am an introvert
Honestly if you're an introvert then Scandinavia is the way to go
if i don’t have the language adapted by then and only know the very very basics, will it be a big struggle?

at least , you have done the best for what you can !!
That is very true!
Approximately how much did you spend per month? I mean , what's the required budget for a month , including food, accomodation, transportation etc?
It depends on city you are going in
Hi. Is it necessary to speak the language? Is studying abroad there generally expensive? Were people generally welcoming? Thanks for the video!

Was it because the particular card company you chose, or the bank, charged the fee, or what?
