All hail to gamble rupture cannon !!
Give it synapse in Synaptic Nexus and apply Irresistable Will, or shoot the target with an Exocrine first, to remove the gambley bits.
@@windwalkerrangerdm can't reroll the 2D6 damage "gamble" with that
@@miztahmonsturstill CP reroll would help increase odds of successful damage with the other buffs
@@AuthIllustrator I mean yeah, rerolling hits, wounds, and damage helps everything if you have the CP to spare. Mainly responded because I've seen people think those reroll everything.
Casino Cannon
Would've liked a drop on the hive guard, but I really like the change to the Tyrannofex. Now, I can whiff all my Rupture Cannon shots as efficiently as possible!
That's right 😤
Hell yeah!!
I would have loved further decreases in prices, specially the Psychophage, Hive Tyrant, Winged Hive Tyrant and The Swarmlord. And maybe drop Hormagaunts to 60x10 to compensate a little for the Gargoyles nerf.
I wished Hormas had some decent AP. Gunning for a Unending Swarm army with 60 + Hormas.
The 5 point change to Gargoyles was fair to better reflect their ability and use.
NeuroLictors will see a lot less play, they were probably hit 5 points too hard tbh.
Strange Hive Tyrants and Swarmlord were unchanged though, that's a big feels bad.
At least Tyrannofex's are easy to return to an army again. 😊
@@ashleyharris4114 Yeah, but Hormagaunts feel kinda.... weak? right now. I think they could do with a little drop to put them on par with Termagants. And to make them a more attractive objective hoarder/screener compared to gargoyles, now that they cost more but still have the extra movement+deep strike
@Darkja True, Hormsgaunts are just run forward and die idi.ots that can't kill anything. 😅
@@NutellafuerstThere's almost no way to buff the horms in this codex compared to last edition. The new book has really ripped away so many of our greatest features.
Acid spray? No no no, it’s Rupture Cannon or nothing.
I m a big fan of the T fex point drop. And i really hoped they would have changed something on the Crusher Stampede detachement rule to make it better.
they need to make a core rule change to how we see units under full Str and units under half Str.
if we take a look at the Carnifexes, the Crusher stampede rules don't really work with them, and we see similar things on other detachments and rules, and that with units with multi wound Monsters/Vehicles and more models.
Yeah but i wouldn´t center the issue around Carnifexes. Having to be wounded in order to get your detachement rule buff is always iffy, unless its wounds returning back.
I would give all Monsters +1 to hit and +1 to charge. Just straight up.@@NecroGoblin-yl2fx
@@NecroGoblin-yl2fxhonestly for unit strength just make it based on total wounds in the unit instead of model count. It’ll act nearly identically for big model count units and will massively help individual characters and smaller units of monsters.
In the intro you sound like you just woke up or stayed up hella late 😂 you’re a machine man thanks for all this hard work!
As someone who picked up 2 SK, a Trygon & 2 Tyrannofex in the last three months this is good
Looks like Monster back on the menu boys!
Bruh your upload game is crazy
could still see the Screamer killer drop more in points.
if we look at the Haruspex that is almost same stats it is 125 and the same with regular Carnifex they are also 125.
BUT i would love for the Psychophage to also drop in points.
@@Khobai Haruspex has a surprisingly good character killer ranged weapon with its tongue
You sound exhausted in this one. I respect your grind but please remember to get some rest! We can wait a few extra hours for this breakdown.
I run assimilation and the nerf to pyrovores hurt a bit without touching up the psychophage. It needs to drop to around 115/110.
I just want a new army rule. Shadow in the warp is terribly unreliable for being a core army mechanic.
as long as "below half start strength" isnt changed to "below AND AT half start strength" ...
crusher stampede wont see any GT table
The Vegas cannon is back baby!
Pretty nice to see the screamer killer looking at least playable, especially with the nerurolictor going up. Looks like they are going to be a fun tag team for the brain bug swarm!
Tell me how the hell you see scream killers playable ? They are like 40 pts over coasted ...
@@mr.stotch1455 oh 100% that makes so much sense for all directed sonic (even as a secondary effect perhaps) weapons to have
So glad my Turannofexes are viable again. One of my favorite models to put on the tabletop
Excellent step in the right direction for a bit internal balance in the faction - finally reductions on things i own! So happy the Tyrannofex dropped decently
I love nids, need to get some more :D
Something that has slipped past that I found by accident, Tyranid Warrior Venom Cannons went up to S9
I hope your voice feels better but I will say it almost sounds like Auspex tactics ASMR and I didn't realize how much I needed that in my life until now.
I though they would buff the psychophage too. At 110 maybe.
I agree. It is genuinely weird, that they did nothing for the big tic
Lol 90 ??? it is not good, it is almost auto include in this case. @@Khobai
I look forward to finally using the screamer killer :D
Dude, when do you sleep? You posted one hour long vid on the new dataslate and one on the dark angels when I went to bed and when I get up you've post three more vids.
ROLL THE DICE BABY
Tfex got the mistake fixed and some of the monsters are looking good really wish they touched detachment rule for crusher stampede and the ryrants
@@Method9 when did a tyranofex have a 4+ invuln?
@@jonpeacock5580Ah I stand corrected. Thought it was 9th but I just checked.
Where can you find tournament data and lists?
Running triple neurolictors was sort of to make up for the lack of any serious anti vehicle/tank firepower nids had. Even when Tyrano was in a better state it was a crap shoot if his rupture cannon did it's job. But I suspect it will help a bit.
So happy I can actually field my Tyrannofex’s in a list other than Crusher Stampede and have them be worth it 😊
I got a second norn for Christmas, I see this as an absolute win. What gun do I build my Tfex with??
If you can, then magnetise it. If that's not possible, go with the Acid Spray and melt some faces off. 👾
@@d.t.m8393 I do have a ton of magnets. The acid sprayer might be kind of weird due to how it mates with the model but I should be able to make it work.
Tfex is still non playable, it is extremely overcoasted ..
As someone whose Nids collection is just Leviathan and Space Hulk, I’d say this worked out well for me. Need to get a second Broodlord
Hell yea! Bug buffs!
Bro my swarmlord:( . Verry happy about everything else though.
If i aint having rupture canon on Mah Tyrranofex am i Really playing with a Tyrranofex then?
Think about that
Sounds like he did this one first thing in the morning. Clear evidence he doesn’t sleep
they need to buff crusher stamped. theirs no reason to take it even in a monster only/heavy list.
I think Screamer Killer is still overshadow by Haruspex but it's a step in the right direction
Ran monster mash at my club last night. Can confirm that it's good. There are certainly some bad matchups, but Rapid Ingressing SKs are certainly worth 145pts.
I'm afraid that tactic is Officially Cheating. Look, it says so here in the rulebook. That bit written in biro, yes.... Look, I can't help it if _your_ old rulebook doesn't include that stipulation, it's _definitely_ legit... Trust me bro...
@@Daemonik wat
how was it vs necrons?
@@weirdo3116 I played against Marines and Guard. I think Hypercrypt Crons are gonna be a tough matchup.
@@DaemonikJesse what the fuck are you talking about
The main problem of the Toxicrene is the model and not the rules. With the tentacles its about the size of an sideways baneblade, which makes manouvering very hard, especially considering that it is supposed to be a melee anti-infantry monster. This is made even worse by some melee rules needing base to base contact (the rules commentary "Base-to-Base contact" applies to them, so base contact stuff can be measured from the hull, but since the "vehicles with bases" commentary only applies to vehicles so the engagement range is not expanded properly. So while the Toxicrene is "just ok" now with a proxied model (for example, some people put scything talons on it) it is still very bad with the original model, since there are very low chances that it meets a good target for its weapons. That however is only fixable with eather a new model or giving it a completely diffrent role.
Hail! Hail!
I’m just glad my genestealers are threatening again
A 55 points change is gw saying, "we fucked up"
the tyrannofex getting a point decrease feels right as before it was just way to expensive
Allow Warriors to be Battleline (were always Troops before 10) and/OR let them have their full strength 9 units and I would consider playing this game again.
Overall, some really nice changes. Point increases were fair and they decreased some models that REALLY needed it. Time to buy a tyrannofex now...
Hopefully this will help the nids to hit the 50% sweet spot, but I guess we'll see. Unfortunately for me, I play my Space Marines against nids regularly and I get absolutely trounced every time. It's not even a close contest, whereas I win against Imperial Guard fairly easily. With the Space Marine getting mostly points increases and the Tyranids getting mostly decreases, I know I'm going to struggle even more, which sucks.
thank god, its rare that I'm happy with all the changes GW makes but this is way better for internal balance, though some of the changes they *didn't* make are pretty strange
I selfishly was hoping for more nerfs as I'm playing them tomorrow with my Death Guard. 😅
Great video, thanks again!
It's funny that GW makes stuff like the Sporocyst, charges a fortune for it, then immediately decides that no one should actually use it. It's so schizophrenic.
Overall I’m a big fan of most of these changes!
Wait, how big is the Pyrovore? It looks huge for 35 points. I'd think that thing would at least be 100 points
It's big and expensive money wise, but ridiculously cheap in points. I'd run more if they didn't cost so damn much for so little
@@azrael2602 to clarify, I was talking more about size. How physically big is it? As big as a gaunt?
Noooo not the neurolictor !!!
Auspex your poor voice!
Appreciate the uploads!
Hey 4 months after. I don’t want drop points I just what new rules…
I played tournament today (Dawn of Vår), lost 4 out of 5 games. The one I winned was because my opponent dropped out. 😂(Had super fun at tournament and learned a lot at had great time.) actually knew gonna lose all games.
It’s 4 months later and 4 codexes dropped and still no update too Nids.
Maybe digital rules online would be more relevant?
Maybe write to GW rules team that a rule for Admech, deathwatch and Nids is that we win if opponents drop out? Way to slow updates for such an expensive game.
since gw has now set that they will change state lines melee warriors going to d2 would make them a solid threat. and would be a change i would prefer over making them stupidly cheap. warriors are suppose to be nids terminator yet locking them to d1 weapons is just sad. also would of like hormagaunts to either gain an ap or go down to same points as term. other than that think the changes are broadly good.
Finally people might stop criticizing my tfex
Not bad points drops. Could have been better. Is our army's gameplan still to "die efficiently"?
Very happy to see point cuts, but I wouldn't call them buffs, rather they were fixing egregious mistakes in previous balance updates. T-fex and SK for example were ludicrously overcosted, especially T-Fex' double nerf was unnecessary. Now they've simply been made playable as opposed to unplayable. And I think the Neurolictor nerf was to much. +5pts, maybe +10 could've been enough, +15 is going overboard.
Overall it seemed like they treated tyranids like an army in the upper half, as an army with a win rate of 50-55%, while it's actually listed as a 45%, so just barely within GW target zone.
So with the balance data slate out now is the codex going to be updated? So glad the Tfex is back down to sub 200 points, had to walk away from the hobby for a while after that 😭
None of these feel like buffs or nerfs, it’s just point changes. Most Tyranid units need big mechanical buffs so they can actually kill things
i weep for the spore mines. such a fun and fluffy unit. really cool. what a waste.
Lol what a sneaky nerf to nids
You alright auspex you sound very tired. Maybe slow down abit.
Glad to see gw moving away from using rules to sell models, 👍
👍👍 speaking on "Objective Control 0" units, I would argue that they might be able claim objectives if they're inside of synapse range 🤷🏼♀️ Spore Mines in particular are literally mindless as I understand it. Any house rules folks here?
The Neurotyrant should have gone down a lot.....it's still rubbish for it's points!
Nids are my faction, and 10th has turned me away from playing them
Guess I’ll wait for 11th
At least they're better than they were throughout most of 5th, 6th and 7th Edition. I'd argue they're even less fun to play now, though.
@@onionhat745 I started the tail end of 7th and played mostly through 8 & 9ed (how long I’ve been in the hobby)
I enjoy warhammer and even do commission painting now, but apart from more open lists and detachments I find the new keywords and loss of things like psychic phase unfun
My list gained 170 points go monster mash
Nids after that slate just get worse, we will now fell below 45% WR :( Fck GW!!!
A pity I hate Genestealers or I would use them… buuuuut I hate them sooo
they still didnt make them even remotely resemble tyranids
what..... nids now are the closest to what nids are suppose to be since like 4th edition. you have various small swarms big monsters and covert utility units that are all good. you can run an invasion fleet which is a decent well round list that represents nids, you can run vanguard which is the alpha strike or unending swarm which is the classic horder army but still fits in a few monsters to lead the horder....... it way better than cheesy monster mash in the past or flying spam...... the only issue i think is their damage is a little on the low side.
you have the units, but they arnt doing what they are supposed to do, with a goal thats ludicrous for them
thats like seeing world eaters have all the bezerkers, and saying thats fine, as they hang around capturing objectives
the complete lack of synapse and shadow in the warp is also stupid
Add a comment...
I want them to remove spore mind scoring already. Nids are so weak and only hang onto 45ish wr because of them. Without mines scorig we'd be a 35wr at best army
take care of your voice :)
Tyranids are in a horrible state.
No Datasheet does good and reliable damage.
Monsters who should be the damage Dealers are all overcosted for their thoughness and damage output.
Almost no army rule.
All we have ist cheesy Mission Play to try to keep up.
If it wasnt for biovores, ripper swarms and to some extend gargoyles, we would have a winrate of 40%
The problem now is the secondaries, which will be more difficult to achieve with the rule changes for 0 co units!
This will complicate the Tyranids if we can no longer make secondaries. 😢
Awfully close to what was in the codex to begin with...
You’re so out to lunch if you think s10 d3 character needs to be cheaper then 145 points … how much glue have you sniffed recently 😮
