Crazy how i stopped in 2016 at level 26 and only returned September 2019 and now im half way through to level 40... the amount of grind is unreal. But if its for a game you love, grinding = fun
I was 22 last month now 30 that shows even if you don't egg that much playing casually while doing other stuff you can still cross half way but dude after 34 it will be difficult for me
I've had the game since 2016 didnt play for maybe a year, and I'm at lvl 21. The main problem is that this game hates people who live anywhere other than cities and towns. I live in a neighborhood with 2 pokestops. Another problem is the fact that some Pokemon need 100-400 candies to evolve, and some of them, you're lucky to see more than twice a week. This game isn't made for people who can't travel, and it's a boring, slow, grating experience to play
I started in 2016, took a break for a year and a half, the closest pokestop/gym is 9miles because I live in the country. I’m still level 35. You literally just have to be half active on the game to get a high level.

The friend bonus strategy has been huge since everything went on lockdown. I was raiding a lot back when people were able to group up for 5 star raids, but that has become pretty rare since the quarantine. About a week ago I decided to try increasing the number of friends that I have, and have gone from about 40 to 125. Since then I have been spinning stops and gifting as much as I can. It's paid off big time and if I can maintain the rate that I am getting XP I should hit level 40 in about 2 weeks.
Friend wise, it's more efficient to start a new set of 30 friends after achieving Ultra Friendship. You can hit ultra with 90 people working on only 30 at a time which is the equivalent of 1 set of 30 friends at best friendship. You'll also receive an additional 60 good and great friendship experience bonuses.

I’m a fairly new player and have been playing for 120 days now and made it from level 1 all the way to 37.5. I can say without a doubt that lucky eggs+raids+research is the simplest fast way to ranking up. I am fighting my way to level 40 as quick as I can so I can add a gym and pokestops right next to my house haha.

That’s not true. Each community day has something different. Sometimes it’s more xp, sometimes it’s more candy per catch, more candy for transfers, etc.

I started playing Pokémon Go on November 4, 2018 and hit level 40 on July 4, 2019. I grinded hard and used those friendship bonuses with lucky eggs. My husband and grown sons have been playing since 2016 and I blew past them. I am very competitive so once I started playing I couldn't wait to hit level 40 so 7 months to the day later.....I did.

I only add new people, when i get to the first heart i eliminate them; doing this action you can reach level 40 in 4 months or less depending on how many gifts you can send, you do not need many gifts to level up quickly.

wow this just killed all my hopes of ever making it to lvl 40. ive been playing for about 2 years on and off and im only lvl 35. In my suburb weve got 3 gyms and 5 pokestops (none of which are reachable from my home.) Had no idea 37 was only the half way point, and now lvl 40 seems so far away
@@DarianWade Don't confuse a free side game for main series level. The main series is intentionally child difficulty to lure in as many people as possible. PoGO is for more hardcore Pokemon fans who actually like a grind, or who just needs a motivation to walk more.

Once I was gonna be Ultra friends with one of my friends. When I opened pokemon go i went straight to use a lucky egg, but it didn't give me the xp UNTIL the day after. Wasted a lucky egg and 50,000 xp :(

Thank god remote raid passes are a thing now. I live in a place where not many people play and now with remote raid passes I can 5+ legendary raids a week. This helped me level up a lot and it also looks good when you let your friend see your Pokémon and you have like 5 lugias and 7 rayquaza.
I got a new phone and i can finally play pokemon go smoothly..i stopped playing two years ago and I've been revisiting but my last phone couldn't handle pokemon go. Now i fan finally start playing with jo problems and i can resume my journey to reach level 40. ( Currently on level 31)

"That was one of my most fun times...." Getting to level 40 was fun, because we had a goal. That's WHY they NEED to raise the trainer levels again. I wish the TH-camrs that have connections to Niantic (Mystic7, Holly, Nick) would add a little pressure on them to raise the levels.
@Hi How Are You? Just because YOU think people should have other goals, doesn't mean that's the way it is. Some people play for the XP. They have a good time playing for the XP. Don't judge them. PLUS, Niantic needs to have XP events for new players, but because there are no more levels to gain, it means nothing to a lot of people who have already hit 40. Raising the trainer levels makes the XP events meaningful again. They NEED to raise the dang trainer levels.
There could be XP rewards without raising the level cap. What about a kind of "paragon" system like Diablo 3, giving you rewards for specific amounts of XP above lvl40. Or extra XP after lvl 40 translating to a lower % of stardust.
I’ve was stuck at level 38 for 2 years. I finally hit level 39 this summer and I’ve been grinding for level 40. I watch top videos like this but I can just never get them to work as well as they make it sound. I’m not expecting to hit level 40 until next summer, if I’m lucky.

I'm at 2 months and 2 weeks to thenday and I'm half way through level 37. Only spent a total of 30$ on the game and it was early on and mostly wasted on pokeballs in the first week before I really learned what the game was. After that quit spending money, and just gringing friends, excellent throws, gold gyms, and mad amounts of bug type evolutions. Now all I spend my coins on are eggs remote raid passes and star pieces.
I wanted to play it since release but back then the servers were so overworked I wasn't able to create an account for a while, which honestly worked in my favor since there were so many people everywhere because of that hypetrain. So I only started playing at the beginning of this year. Been at 36/37 a while now and I finally want to get 40+ and eventually 50~ I love a good grind but it's time for me to actually pursue lvl ups again!

Actually 39 to 40 takes 1 million more so than 1 to 39. Lol 39 takes 11 million to get to level 40 to the 20 million so Mark 1 to 39 is 9 million so lol so it's not 37 is halfway it's 39 is more than halfway

You forgot to say, that on a community day you get double exp and with a lucky egg you get 400% exp per catch. That means 1.400 - 2.000 per catch.

wow this just killed all my hopes of ever making it to lvl 40. ive been playing for about 2 years on and off and im only lvl 35. In my suburb weve got 3 gyms and 5 pokestops (none of which are reachable from my home.) Had no idea 37 was only the half way point, and now lvl 40 seems so far away

@@DarianWade Don't confuse a free side game for main series level. The main series is intentionally child difficulty to lure in as many people as possible. PoGO is for more hardcore Pokemon fans who actually like a grind, or who just needs a motivation to walk more.

I lost my husband in 2017 and didn’t play a long time but the game helped me venture back out into the world again when I really just wanted to stay locked up inside. Anyway, your amazing!! Thanks so much for doing these videos. I finally made it to level 38 about 3 months ago and I am already about 2 thirds through level 38. 😁 The only thing I don’t understand is why I can’t seem to find the really awesome Pokémon that I see others with in the gyms. I guess it could be my location. I don’t know. 🤷🏻♀️ Anyway, happy videoing. lol Thank again.

Once I was gonna be Ultra friends with one of my friends. When I opened pokemon go i went straight to use a lucky egg, but it didn't give me the xp UNTIL the day after. Wasted a lucky egg and 50,000 xp :(

1 year playing, lvl 36 just a few minutes ago. I am barely getting to the halfway point.
Thank god remote raid passes are a thing now. I live in a place where not many people play and now with remote raid passes I can 5+ legendary raids a week. This helped me level up a lot and it also looks good when you let your friend see your Pokémon and you have like 5 lugias and 7 rayquaza.
I got a new phone and i can finally play pokemon go smoothly..i stopped playing two years ago and I've been revisiting but my last phone couldn't handle pokemon go. Now i fan finally start playing with jo problems and i can resume my journey to reach level 40. ( Currently on level 31)

Some things have changed from these XP bonuses. 1000 XP from excellent throw now for example.

"That was one of my most fun times...." Getting to level 40 was fun, because we had a goal. That's WHY they NEED to raise the trainer levels again. I wish the TH-camrs that have connections to Niantic (Mystic7, Holly, Nick) would add a little pressure on them to raise the levels.
Imagine how many people would quit though who are so close to level 40 and then they just raise the max level to something higher

@Hi How Are You? Just because YOU think people should have other goals, doesn't mean that's the way it is. Some people play for the XP. They have a good time playing for the XP. Don't judge them. PLUS, Niantic needs to have XP events for new players, but because there are no more levels to gain, it means nothing to a lot of people who have already hit 40. Raising the trainer levels makes the XP events meaningful again. They NEED to raise the dang trainer levels.
Lucky eggs went on sale Easter 2017. I bought 80.
There could be XP rewards without raising the level cap. What about a kind of "paragon" system like Diablo 3, giving you rewards for specific amounts of XP above lvl40. Or extra XP after lvl 40 translating to a lower % of stardust.
I’ve was stuck at level 38 for 2 years. I finally hit level 39 this summer and I’ve been grinding for level 40. I watch top videos like this but I can just never get them to work as well as they make it sound. I’m not expecting to hit level 40 until next summer, if I’m lucky.

I'm at 2 months and 2 weeks to thenday and I'm half way through level 37. Only spent a total of 30$ on the game and it was early on and mostly wasted on pokeballs in the first week before I really learned what the game was. After that quit spending money, and just gringing friends, excellent throws, gold gyms, and mad amounts of bug type evolutions. Now all I spend my coins on are eggs remote raid passes and star pieces.

I wanted to play it since release but back then the servers were so overworked I wasn't able to create an account for a while, which honestly worked in my favor since there were so many people everywhere because of that hypetrain. So I only started playing at the beginning of this year. Been at 36/37 a while now and I finally want to get 40+ and eventually 50~ I love a good grind but it's time for me to actually pursue lvl ups again!

Actually 39 to 40 takes 1 million more so than 1 to 39. Lol 39 takes 11 million to get to level 40 to the 20 million so Mark 1 to 39 is 9 million so lol so it's not 37 is halfway it's 39 is more than halfway

I am from kerala(India ). I am also a pokemon player. I love this game but we have very very limited pokestop less than 3 stops. And because of that reaching level 40 is very hard for me. I believe that more pokestop will be available soon.
