Acts 2:46 says that 'day by day, they spent much time together in the temple (NRSV). So, it is clear that they did have a particular day where they worshipped God. However, when the persecution started after Stephen's martyrdom, the disciples scattered ( except the apostles) and went everywhere preaching to only Jews ( Acts 8:1; 4, 11:19,). But some came to Antioch and preached to the Hellenists (Greeks) who were non-Jews. By the grace of God, many of them believed and the church at Antioch was formed. But this is in the region of Syria. So this is Syria Antioch . When Paul got converted, he and Barnabas were commissioned by the church under the direction of the Holy spirit to send forth the message of reconciliation (Acts 13:1-2). And when they set off, they came to Antioch in Pisidia. So this Antioch is not the one from where they were commissioned. (But the Apostle confused the two in his submission) Now, Paul and Barnabas are missionaries, so when they came to Pisidia Antioch, they went to the Jewish synagogue as a way of reaching the Jews there. And when they were given the platform, they preached Christ. And on the next sabbath, they spoke to them again (Acts 13:15-44). So you will realize that, they went to the synagogue on the Sabbath not to worship as Jews but to use the opportunity to preach to those gathered there. And this was their strategy until they gathered those who believed and churches were formed.
