For 19 years I've been in church and seen many things and the last people who have done nothing are sitting on the stage they all have their personal endeavors. And still we sit here years and years later waiting for them to still be leaders. Secondly the prophetic voice belongs to God and God alone. God speaks and he uses those who are willing to speak truth to whatever situation that is abroad do not confuse the matters of Jesus.
Cain Felder taught countless black preachers, Rev. Flake revitalized an entire subsection of Queens, NY, Rev. Sharpton has given a voice and a platform to the voiceless, etc. It's disingenuous to say that they have done "nothing". The multifurcation of the "black church" allows for differing opinions on leadership due to the various viewpoints. Those on that podium don't share the vantage of smaller churches. That isn't a bad thing, it's just a fact that needs to be accounted for.
@@ianharris6971 very interesting point of view all of these men have come from small churches but can't share the view of one. I am simply stating that behind closed doors it is not the truth what you see on those podiums. And one of the largest mistakes that have been made when it comes to the gospel of Christ, is that we've created more businessman and call them preachers instead of actual man of the Gospel. And I have never seen any of these people give platforms to voiceless people, it is always premeditated and there is always a reason that deals with their own self-righteousness. Trust me I have served large churches and small, big organizational church and churches who had no organization. The most important thing is that a new season is coming and all will be exposed. You'll see God is raising up a leadership that will not fail, will be strong, prepared, ready, sincere genuine, and accountable for all their actions. And those on that stage are not it. If we must call them leaders we must also say that this type of leadership has not been good for the black community for decades now. Nice chatting with u Ian!!

Interesting how the decades have passed since this video. One has been labeled a "heretic." One has been the subject of a reality TV show. One has been accused of inappropriate behavior in Atlanta with young men, one has served a stellar career in Congress, one has been an "ambulance chaser" for black issues. I believe the issue must go beyond race and gender and to think concerning the life of the kingdom of God. Galatians 3:28.

I was there and both sessions were incredible. However, I am saddened that after almost 20yrs (and a black president) later we are still waiting on those who we elect to work for us. I for one am done voting with the expectation that my color is my kind.
Wow! Don’t give up yet. When we learn the value of ourselves and quit digging each other out and treat each other with respect, and don’t care what the other one has then maybe we might get a little further. Because our people don’t realize they are hurting themselves always wanting to get revenge. Until some of that come into plsyLord have mercy on us.
Our people need to learn when to fight and when not to fight. Why would you go tare other people materials up when they have done you nothing or even the victim anything. Take care of each other. Get our priorities straight. If we come together as black people that’s when we will win. Got too many backstabbers. The mind of our people didn’t just occur. I said this in college, the bearings that our Ancestors and Parents, Grandmas and GrandPas endure plays a very big part in our lives today. Then our Ancestors had to live with nothing because them folks took everything from us, from money to land. So the bore children with a messed up mind. Thank God for those that were strong or spared enough to make it. But our people suffered. That unhealthy style of living fell on their children. They thought the best day could under malnutrition and insecurity situations of life. We would be the same way if that was us.But we can’t get some of our people out of that mind set. That’s why some of our people still have racism issues. Same way on the other side. I know this is wrong , in a way they are not suppose to hold grudges, but when you look back, or think back it make you want to go into left field. None of that helped us it gutted more than anything.

We’re the sickest people I know. We applaud begging and asking for a hand out. Know wonder Detroit went broke. Some of the people on this panel are not to be followed. How many of them are justifying what they're saying with scripture? Please read scripture and commit to God's word and listen to Jesus in your hearts. If you find scripture a little difficult to understand listen to someone that speaks using scripture.
