That's so much easier said than done. I have this from abuse. No doctor thinks it's real, I can barely leave my house, I don't have the money for any of these things to fix it- especially when the doctors won't help me.

Cognitive behavioral therapy didn’t help. Physical therapy increased my symptoms. And the only medicine that was suggested is antidepressants. I don’t know why they say FND is treatable and can go away. I’ve had it for years and know others who also suffer everyday. I feel hopeless and the daily struggle is very hard to handle.

My symptoms didn't tick all the boxes for relevant conditions and so no treatment medication was suitable for me.

While I completely agree that functional doesn’t mean hardware or structural problem, I can’t agree that blood tests are normal.
First of all CANDO study showed us that FND might be caused due to chronic low grade inflammation. In terms of inflammation, have you investigated the NLRP3 inflammasome pathway
Secondly, there is usually a sudden onset. Most of sudden onsets happen post viral infection. That has to be immune mediated. Back in the days people were treated immediately with pulse corticosteroids and IVIG with 90% resolutions. Nowadays they are referred to physio and psychotherapy due to FND diagnosis.
Thirdly, the blood tests are coming fine because not everything is tested. Have you considered trying TH1/TH2 ratios. Checking for autoimmunity, etc. CRP and similar markers will not spike high enough for things that happen on cellular level.
Fourthly, why aren’t you parsing different areas of the brain and comparing volumes with healthy controls. There doesn’t need to be a damage to have a structural change.
Overreacting immune system is keeping some people in fight or flight loop. Believing the diagnosis sometimes isn’t enough to break the loop and open the path to healing.
I’m also curious, if Parkinson’s didn’t have its own name or diagnosis, would it be put in FND bucket as well. I mean it’s diagnosed based on clinical representation and tests are fine. Okay today we also have datscan, but without it, would it be another FND diagnosis?

@msteva93 believe me all the test come back normal, because they dont check metabolic state, insulin resistance, electolites deficency, because the blood can show normal numbers, but the cells are not getting enough..and all they say is we dont know what this cause it, and believe me i also dont believe it, they gave me this diagnose, huge paralyses, but when i start carnivore alot of the symptoms go away, because i am healing inflamation*and there is no overreacting immune system it is a myth, it is Just confused immune system, that is why People go carnivore and they are like New People ;) thanks for your Point of explanation
