-I have an envelope, in my hands right now, that contains the Chase World of Hyatt Card that I applied and got approved for just recently. So, for those of you who are considering applying for the Chase World of Hyatt, in this video, I’m going to go through the exact reasons for why I decided to apply for the Chase World of Hyatt Card in the first place.
Next, I'll discuss my overall application experience, and what I’m going to be doing with the Chase World of Hyatt Card going forward, and finally, I'll of course I’ll get into that unboxing experience, and show you everything that Chase sent me along with this new Credit Card.

I actually love the Grand Hyatt in SD. Went for a conference last year. Great view and location. I was there for 9 days and unfortunately, the Bilt promo for status started the week after.

I have had the hyatt card for a couple of years I was considering closing it and then reapplying but I just decided to pay the AF, get the annual night and eventually spend 15k on it for another cert.
Just used my free night in New Orleans at Hyatt centric it was great. Enjoy the card!

I am definitely thinking about it! Depending on how long I spend after the first part of the welcome bonus, the extra night for the $15k spend is definitely on the table!

I’m still new to the credit card game and my family and I travel 2-4x a year nationally/internationally.
Hyatt is a card I am interested in applying does it require any “prerequisites” like 10k card limit or anything one needs to know prior to applying?
Thanks so much Adia! There aren’t any specific prerequisites necessarily, but it definitely does help to have a relationship with Chase whether that be opening a checking account with them, or starting with a card like the Freedom Flex/Freedom Unlimited.
@@MattWelterOfficial ok great. I have a relationship with them. A CD, checking account and 1 cc (freedom unlimited) considering opening a business account and biz cc -since my husband and I have rentals
The Cat 4 free night cert is pretty bad. Every year Hyatt bumps up hotels from Cat 4 to Cat 5, making the cert less valuable.
Still definitely ways to use it to get more value than the annual fee each year though!
Hyatt keeps raising the categories on their hotels/resorts. I booked Hyatt Ziva in 2022 for 25k a night. Next month it will be a category F, which is like 50K points a night.
Yeah for sure. Hyatt's point value has been so incredible for so long that it was inevitable at some point they'd raise the Categories. Definitely still some value opportunities for sure though. Thanks for watching Henry!
@@MattWelterOfficial it’s been like 3 years in a ROW. Hopefully chase increases the spend categories or gives out a larger sign up bonus for their cards. I feel like putting all my spend on my Surpass for the 5th night free & FNC.

Don’t know if you’ve made a video on this topic but I got my first Chase targeted mail offer for the CFF or the CFU both pre approved for either cards and an offer of 300.00 plus 5% Gas and Grocery, which card should I go for first
@@DaIton- Great question! I'm typically a proponent of the CFU first especially, since it's the easiest to understand & use as a Catch All Card, but with the 5% on Gas & Groceries during your first year, you can't really beat either one!
You will regret getting this card; I am cancelling it after this year; categories are worse and worse. Almost impossible to find a decent hotel in cat. 4 anywehere.
Totally fair! I do still think I'll find a way to utilize it & get more value from the FNC in comparison to the annual fee though.
