thank you for the video, it is very helpful and simple to understand. I was wondering, how did you connect the wooden steps when you slot them into each of the steel frame? so that the wooden cases won't move. thanks

You're saying this needs to be a concrete wall? You chased out the gypsum board, but behind that was all concrete? That would be one helluva retrofit job to do to an existing house with, let's say, 2x4 walls...

hey there, I am an Interior design student and i some doubts regarding the thickness of the wooden planks you used. The metal hollow frame you used for the steps was of 50 mm and to box that metal frame of steps you used 20 mm solid wooden planks. how will that possible since the thickness of wooden plank is less than the metal frame.
    Thank you

I want to construct my house and floating stairs will be a great charm. I read in some random article concrete wall is must for the system. Is it work with normal brick wall?

The wall needs to be reinforced / be able the handle the weight. I would say no, you should consult a professional who does floating stairs, has good track record, you don’t want the stairs failing on you, your spouse, or children during everyday use or when moving heavy objects. My concern would be heavy objects such as furniture especially or pregnant people.

I also have this question. How solid are these stairs. Do they move/vibrate when using them? Any "metal" noise when going up/down?
