I wouldn't even need them to play NW songs anymore. I would easily trade one of them for Medusa duet or Eagle Eye. I am much happier when Marko sings Tarja's songs and hopefully soon we will hear some new duet, where Marko would be the author for a change. I like that Tarja's and Marko's music is different, I like the contrasts. But still I like how they sing old NW songs.
I totally love tarja's solo career and i think it's become something that nw's music isn't anymore since a long time: interesting.
That being said,i won't lie: i was craving for some old nw gem. I don't think this is disrespectful towards tarja (i don't even have anything to prove to anyone,i know i'm a huuuuge fan since decades!) and here i cone to the point of your comment. I absolutely agree,if all we have to get is the same,usual superoverextraplayed songs over and over again. I'm surprised they didn't do Nemo😩 don't get me wrong,i love those songs. But it's been more than 20 freaking years of othafa now... Isn't she tired of it?? Just imagine if they did one of the two Beauty. I'd be in hospital with a heartache! 😂
Anyway,i lllllove Dead Promises and this version sounds better than ever! Hopefully next time...😉

I agree, I also love Tarja's solo music much more than NW's music. I got back to Tarja and NW about a year and a half ago, when I thought I could go to Tarja's Christmas concert since she was already performing in my city. I watch NW, but it's nowhere near as engrossing as Tarja's music.
I think their choice of NW songs is logical. Nemo is not exactly my favorite song, and Tarja plays it quite often in her concerts. I heard her sing at last year's Master of Rock festival in the Czech Republic. I would also prefer if they sang Astral Romance, but I think there are a lot of people who don't know their first album. Wish I Had an Angel and Dead to The World have official music videos and live performances on YT and there are plenty of reactions to them as well. In my opinion, if it were up to them, they wouldn't even play NW songs, but the fans expect it.

Have to agree. First time hearing this. Awesome. Tarja was, is and will always be the original voice of Nightwish. But her solo work is even better.
