In Isafjordur, our tour guide said that the sheep roam and graze freely in the summer and then the whole town herds them back to the right owner's barn for winter.
Hurrah! Our dynamic duo once again each using his particular super power to deliver the best views and commentary on the falls. Great video! Waterproof hats off to you! ❤
Tony, this seems to be so different from your typical video. So reflective. We recently booked 23 days of cruising from Barcelona to Boston including Greenland and Iceland next August. We are so excited, and more so after watching your videos.
This is just wonderful...had a couple hrs to do a few of these together...had no idea..Iceland on list. Loved seeing the guy with the horses...not all touristy...lovely..not and not crowded.
Great video of beautiful Akureyri area highlights. I wish now that I had seen Laufas. It looked really interesting. The gardens were gorgeous and relaxing to walk around. People might like to know that Godafuss Falls was named because when Iceland officially became a Christian country, the pagan idols they had were thrown into the falls by a priest. I can't wait to see the rest of your fabulous Iceland videos!
I've been to Iceland three times, but I'm seeing some new stuff in your videos! Who knew there was such a lush botanical garden in lava covered Iceland! I'll definitely check that out next time.
Memories - we were on that same tour in July - 55 - 60 deg - one day got to 70! and mostly sunny all 10 days. We were very lucky. Loved all the scenery. Enjoy. Do you go to the Faroe Islands - if so don't miss the round-a-bout UNDER the water between 3 islands! Always enjoy your travels & stories.
🙏 Thanks for taking the time to go inside the church! Loved it and the music played by the man inside added to the special moments you provided! God bless you!
The waterfalls are breathtaking. The little huts are completely fascinating. It’s amazing how people in different cultures build and survive in their harsh environments. Thank you for taking us with you.
Great video! What a beautiful place!! The flowers you thought might be dandelions are onions. There were at least a couple of types of ornamental onions. So pretty!
The exact same excursions we went on a few weeks ago in Akureyri on the Caribbean Princess, I also bought my body weight in Chocolate in the gift shop at Laufas. Godafoss was spectacular, We had a great time!
I rescheduled my flight from Myrtle Beach SC to Chicago a day early making sure I'd get to my destination. Jokes on me, I'm still waiting for my connecting flight. Could be worse. I hope Jenny and all residents along the coast stay safe.
Late to this…. The Blue flowers are lupins and are now widely grown across Iceland to help with soil formation. The gardens are beautiful and well worth the visit. The pathways around the waterfall are certainly greatly developed from my first visit in the late 80s when tourism was far less extensive. The last time I was in Akureyri I did a whale watching cruise in the fjord and even got to see a rare humpback whale breach.
The waterfalls were beautiful and houses were so interesting. The botanical gardens were beautiful. You and Don made the most of this port and looked relaxed doing it!
Great excursion and a fabulous video, Tony! Connie & I were in Iceland Last summer on the Island Princess and went to Godafoss. Very impressive!! Thanks for the great video.
Aawww, the botanical garden in Akureyri. The very first time we cruised to Iceland we also booked an excursion there wondering about it. A botanical garden so far north????? We were so pleased! What a lovely little piece of heaven.
Hi Tony! I'm enjoying this series very much. Thank you! I'm booked on Caribbean Princess in January. I hope you'll be posting a ship tour when you return home.
I’ve been watching both you and Don‘s videos about your Ireland, England and Iceland trip. You guys are great both of you had different perspectives of the trip. I love watching both of you. Keep it up you too. Bros are too funny and you look like you really have a good time traveling together. Anxious to see what’s coming up next, bye-bye from San Diego here
Tony, thank you for this wonderful video. I was in Iceland on a land tour in June 2016 and it never rained! I’ve had to stop watching after your visit to the village - will try to watch the rest later - but just had to say Don was VERY brave to go down those steep slippery stones at the waterfall! I could never do that! Also, seeing all those beautiful woolen sweaters in the shop - i did not buy one during my visit, and I’m glad i didn’t, because now I’m in southeast VA and the heat and humidity over the past few weeks makes me practically faint just seeing those warm clothes! Enjoy the rest of your adventure!
We just got back from NCL Reykjavik to Southampton. It was wonderful, Ísafjörður was my favorite, we did an ATV ride (not through NCL, but SUPER close to the docks) and we did the Sky Lagoon in Reykjavik. Totally worth it!
I'm glad I'm not the only one to notice this. I kept thinking that this or that really reminds me of British Columbia - which is interesting, given it's on the other side of the continent!
@@barbarap5278 Alas, it's been a very long time since I was there. My dad and grandmother and I took a trip out there (from Alberta) during the summer before I started high school. My dad had been there before and kept telling me how beautiful it would be after dark, with the paths lit up and that the Ross Fountain would also be lit up. Unfortunately it was an ungodly hot day when we were there, and my dad decided we couldn't stay the extra hours until it got dark. So we had to continue on, and I've never had the chance to go back. I did get some gorgeous pictures of it, though, and it was a trip of a lifetime (I still have the shells and driftwood we collected on China Beach; the walk through the rainforest there is incredible).
Love that church music. Enjoyed the tour Tony. Thanks for this. Now, I have to book this cruise. Good seeing you and Don together again. Hope you guys enjoy the rest of your trip. 😊
I've been watching your channel for 2 yrs, and I find your content to be informative and uplifting. As someone whose last cruise was in 1991, I see many things have changed. I'll continue to enjoy you, Jenny B and your content, but I can truthfully say that what I've learned about today's cruise culture has convinced me to NEVER cruise again! Thank you, Tony. You and others have kept me from a great deal of headache and disappointment. CRUISE ON AND ENJOY! 😬
This is a really good tour video. You always do a good thorough job showing everything. I appreciate you pointing out the restrooms too lol. Those are hard to find in Europe lol.
This is the third vlog I have seen in the past week that visited this port. It's the first time seeing the historic homes and botanical gardens. Thanks for sharing this unique experience. Really enjoyed seeing something new. Hope your family in Florida iare all doing o.k. Take care.
Really enjoyed your video! Felt like I was there! Those wet stone steps would be a hard pass for me … but bet the view down there was gorgeous. Glad you stayed around to make sure Don got back safely
The falls remind me of the Canadian Niagara Falls, they have slowly worn themselves backwards through the channel over eons from LaKe Ontario towards Lake Erie. Not that my eye can tell.
So cool to watch your's and Don's blogs, especially about Iceland as we visited many of the same places last week and the week be. You did different tours than we did. Luckily we didn't have any rain during our tours all (2) weeks
Loved, that looked like a great excursion. I was in Akureyi, 12 years ago. I took a ferry from Denmark to Seydisfjordur, then a bus to Akureyi, overnighted there. Then went by bus on to Reykjavik. Didn’t stop long enough to see the beautiful sites you saw today. That was a fabulous trip, maybe Ill have to do a cruise next time to see more. Thanks for video.
Tony, these excursion video have been the best! I agree, i hope the wife is doing well. The Irish port was wonderful. Loved the prison, but favorite was the port, the hotel, all of the multi colored house, just stunning! Thanks Tony. You done good. Update us on home and Jenny, please.
You must be the most fun cruise companion. “Happy Days! 🎶 are here again!” Especially if you are “on”. Keep up the good work. I am going to use that line next time I cruise. “I don’t know if I’m the one to tackle that climb.”
Oh WOW! 🤩 Now that’s a waterfall! Excurting with you never ceases to amaze Tony. ☺️ And you even did all the walking for me. 😂 As the lolly connoisseur talking 😊, I love chocolate with licorice! There are lollies called bullets that are small pieces of licorice covered in chocolate. Yum! 🤤
This may be my favorite series you’ve done ever!!!
On a bus tour we went on in Iceland our bus driver serenaded us on the way back to the ship. He had a beautiful voice!
Amazing! I invested in waterproof hiking shoes for Iceland. Well worth it. Better traction. I climbed down. Enjoyed immensely.
When it comes to Iceland, I don't think of botanical gardens. That was a slice of heaven in an unexpected place. Thanks for the tour.
Traveled last November to Iceland and really enjoyed my trip. I’m looking into this itinerary cause I love these stops.
Iceland is a land of pure magic. The rain adds to the atmosphere. Thanks for sharing.
I love seeing how giddy you get!!! Like a kid in a candy store!!!! Love it!!!
I remember that feeling of having won the excursion lottery! 😄
Hi Don, good to see my favorite two VLOG folks together again. Also, Hi Tony.
Great video of beautiful Akureyri area highlights. I wish now that I had seen Laufas. It looked really interesting. The gardens were gorgeous and relaxing to walk around. Wow, those houses were amazing! Thank you for taking us with you !
Chocolate with black licorice in it is my dream come true. Now I need to visit Iceland.
I've been to Iceland three times, but I'm seeing some new stuff in your videos! Who knew there was such a lush botanical garden in lava covered Iceland! I'll definitely check that out next time.

Another great video Tony, thanks for sharing, at least I didn’t get wet from the armchair! Iceland looks amazing!
I love it when the ship docks so close to town rather than at an industrial port.
Beautiful and awesome! Glad Jenny B is safe too. Thanks Tony!!
Impressive tony! I love your happiness!! Iceland is.a.fantastic.adventure!!!
We were there last year. Thanks for letting us relive our adventure.
Thanks Tony!! Enjoyed your commentary! Loved Iceland & cant wait to go visit again!!
That was a wonderful excursion, thanks for taking me along!🎉 Kudos to Don for that risky descent to the river.
Very impressive waterfall- Thank you for this and the other Iceland videos
🙏 Thanks for taking the time to go inside the church! Loved it and the music played by the man inside added to the special moments you provided! God bless you!
Nice adventure in the rain ☔ There were some pretty cool sweaters in that gift shop too. Icelandic wool, I'd guess..
DAMN!!!!! Yet another cruise to add to the ever-growing bucket list.
The waterfalls are breathtaking. The little huts are completely fascinating. It’s amazing how people in different cultures build and survive in their harsh environments. Thank you for taking us with you.
Thank you Tony, loved the tour and commentary.
Tony, that was absolutely beautiful love the falls and the botanical gardens. Thank you for making this video.
Great pick for an excursion. Loved, loved, loved visiting that beautiful scenery. Iceland, like sailing the fjords in Norway, are a must see!!!!
Great video! What a beautiful place!! The flowers you thought might be dandelions are onions. There were at least a couple of types of ornamental onions. So pretty!
Brings back memories. I want to go back. Love your vlogs. And Don to.
Beautiful and lush tour. i feel when its rainy and gray, a lot of natural colors are more vibrant too!
The exact same excursions we went on a few weeks ago in Akureyri on the Caribbean Princess, I also bought my body weight in Chocolate in the gift shop at Laufas. Godafoss was spectacular, We had a great time!
The smiles on your faces tell the whole story!! Thanks for sharing this beautiful scenic adventure :)
Iceland is beautiful, but living in Florida, I am thinking of your wife on the west coast with hurricane Debbie, I just hope she is ok.
I rescheduled my flight from Myrtle Beach SC to Chicago a day early making sure I'd get to my destination. Jokes on me, I'm still waiting for my connecting flight. Could be worse. I hope Jenny and all residents along the coast stay safe.
Beautiful countryside!
the church music brought back such happy memories. I do miss the old hymns.

I love your narration of what you see. I feel I’m there. Thank you!!!
The garden was absolutely amazing. Don had the biggest smile ever. 🎉
Watching this from the hot desert Southwest USA. The greenery is stunning! Great video!
It stunning Tony!! Thank you for the tours, it remains me of Norway 🇳🇴 somewhat. Beautiful!!
Thanks so much for the Iceland tour! You are an awesome tour guide and so knowledgeable! Thx to Don too😊
The waterfalls were beautiful and houses were so interesting. The botanical gardens were beautiful. You and Don made the most of this port and looked relaxed doing it!
Well, now I want to go to Iceland 🇮🇸
I was thinking the same!
Been twice, totally worth it and I want to go back. I have no need for beaches and hot weather.. I loved the cool climate and the sights are amazing.
Great excursion and a fabulous video, Tony! Connie & I were in Iceland Last summer on the Island Princess and went to Godafoss. Very impressive!! Thanks for the great video.
Love your videos Tony, your so appreciative of nature, architecture, and other cultures. You're also so kind and appreciative to the crew on the ship.
I enjoy watching your channel and seeing new places. I hope Jenny B and your home made it through the storm without any damage. Have a good time.
I really enjoy your content! You make the viewer feel a part of the trip and that is hard to do. You have an amazing channel.
Thank you for showing the beautiful church.💕
Beautiful!! And the high and tight comment was priceless!
Traveling vicariously.
Aawww, the botanical garden in Akureyri.
The very first time we cruised to Iceland we also booked an excursion there wondering about it. A botanical garden so far north?????
We were so pleased! What a lovely little piece of heaven.
I'll be in iceland cruise in 2 weeks. So much excite 😊
Hi Tony! I'm enjoying this series very much. Thank you! I'm booked on Caribbean Princess in January. I hope you'll be posting a ship tour when you return home.

Two more places to see beautiful flowers are Butchart Gardens in Victoria, BC and Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis, Missouri.

This was wonderful to be able to see! Thank you Tony!

Hello Tony Loved the botanical. Gardens and the village with the little church and the organ music . Enjoy the rest of your cruise Love from Sydney
Beautiful Botanical garden... you need to go & see Butchart gardens in Victoria, BC. these gardens remind me of them.. great tours..
