Can't believe I was there. What an epic party! Tops anything I've experienced musically in 42 years. 19 at the time.
I was 14 at the time and to this day I can close my eyes and still feel the energy from that night. This was a once in a life time event. If I had a single wish. It would be to relive this night one more time.

Yep, I was there too and it was incredible. The jungle area was so dope, it was all so new. I feel sad for the new generation shit aint all that great most of the time.
Hands down the greatest party of my life! That night lives in my memory and will forever be recognized by the OGs as one of the definitive moments in L.A. UNDERGROUND rave culture. If you know, you know 🙌

This was one of the greatest nights of my life
One million percent agreed, I still think about this night almost everyday. I am still good friends with people that I met that night. I got separated from my main group, but ended up getting adopted into a new friend group. No other event even comes close.

+meeg_2005 Ive got a database of dj dans mixtapes and a bunch of live performance tapes from the 90's along with his myspace mixes and all his podcasts. There was a group on myspace 8-9 yrs ago that was all about sharing digital copies of rave mixtapes. I had lost track of Dan after Dec01 when I left Cali for military. But reconnected after Oct 06 when I moved to DC and he had his Lift 2 CD release party here and ever since I never miss when he comes out this way. At least 20 times in the last 9 yrs if not more. Dan is constantly touring and is Still fucking amazing!

Back when it still had an underground & hip hop style and edge to it. 1996-97 was the end of an era, the progression of what happened next tracked to the trash we have today.
