      @@DoIcareSaveUkraine Babies eat every 2-3hrs.... usually. My kid ate every 45 minutes the first six months. Once they're toddler usually 3 meals and 2 snacks. You only have to bathe babies ~2x a week if that. Once they start solid food/playing outside you'll probably need to give more baths because they get gross. Also even if they aren't gross a bath with toys is a good way to entertain a toddler for 30-60mins.

      Yeah, I think it does require so many more baths, which are time intensive, that it defeats itself. It seems easier to just spam Go Potty once they get Level 2. However, as well as Hygiene, baths do increase Fun for sure, and Attention, I think, tho, so there's that.

    I wish they had “difficulties” that you could set to make the scenarios easier or harder. I feel like that would appeal to everyone in terms of whether or not a scenario seems too easy or too difficult. Like with too many toddlers, maybe the harder difficulty means that you have 5 or 6 toddlers, maybe you have to max all of their skills, etc.

    • @fruitiimuttii
      @fruitiimuttii 2 ปีที่แล้ว +26

    • @demiguise6208
      @demiguise6208 2 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      @@fruitiimuttii Dang it! I should have thought of tiny houses! It took me 30 minutes, including starting the game and the scenario, CAS(okay I just randomized everything) and preparing the house. I need to try this again later today with a tiny house.
      EDIT: I just finished trying it with a tiny house and... It took me 10 minutes and 27 seconds from starting the game to finishing the scenario. 23 hours in sims time so not even a full day. But I used the house I had prepared yesterday, so without the preprepared house it would probably have taken around 15 minutes.

      I have a feeling this is not the full potential of senerios. There will probably be updates to it, more senerios, difficulty levels, that sort of thing. The sims team is really good at hearing out what simers want and doing their best to implement it in the game.

    • @grumpy_gremlin
      @grumpy_gremlin 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I usually play on the long lifespan, it's a shame they didn't include that in the challenge, that would definitely change the difficulty- Toddlers have 32 days in long lifespan, 8 in normal, 4 in short. Add in different lot challenges or bonuses (tiny home vs off grid/ simple living) and you're going to have very, very different experiences.

    For those trying to increase toddler skills for any legacy challenge, here are the ways to increase each skill the fastest
    Communication (Best Emotion/Happy) - Spam the babble/talk option on the teddy bear. If they're happy, it increases even faster
    Imagination (Best Emotion Playful)- The Playhouse from Dream Home Decorator increases imagination skill almost hilariously fast. If you don't have that pack, get a dollhouse and have them play with it.
    Thinking (Best Emotion Happy) - This was the hardest to me until I found a faster way. Spam the "watch" interaction on an adult sim (pause the game before you do it so you can spam) this way it actually increases the thinking skill buy watching what they're doing.
    Movement (Best Emotion Energized)- I've been informed in the comments that the slide from the Toddler stuff pack is the best for gaining movement skills. Make sure they are energized from the "get excited" interaction from the pile of presents(Seasons)
    Potty - If the toddler isn't independent, have the parent help them until they're level 2. Afterwards just have them constantly potty (I'm sorry but that's the fastest way for them💀) until level 3

    • @Hyunation
      @Hyunation 2 ปีที่แล้ว +56

      That's the issue with making some scenarios like this be time limited. It'd be a bit awkward having a trait be only available for a limited event. Of course the obvious solution to this is just make the scenarios permanent lol.

    • @Kualinar
      @Kualinar 2 ปีที่แล้ว +22

      The happy toddler, for all skills at 3 of more, do improve skill acquisition a bit. Then, there is the Top Notch Toddler for all skills at 5 (3 for the potty) that is equivalent to Quick Learner. Quick learner adds up on it. Both are permanent.
      Then, as a kid, take the Scout «job». It have 5 levels, and completing it gives you a permanent boost at building all your skills.
      Also, each kid aspiration give a boost for the related adult skills.
      ALL those boosts are cumulative. It make it quite possible for a Sim with the musician aspiration to compose something for the violin, guitar, piano and DJ station for the third stage with relative ease and relatively quickly. I do it for every of my Sims who take that aspiration. JUST for the added challenge.

I got him a job as well and though I finished it in 6 in game days I had fun doing it and it was hectic. I would like to see like different lvls a difficulties. I made my version of this challenge a bit tougher by giving one of the toddlers a custom autism trait, along with an additional communication difficulty trait, so we'll see how that goes.
    What I'd like to see is, maybe rather than the Points Reward at the end, maybe some type of special parenthood trait either given to this Sim for this save, or better yet, unlocked for the game as a whole upon completion of the challenge. I think completing the challenges to unlock little extras like that would be a good way to get players to try the challenges, and give a reward for doing so that would affect more than just this one save, especially if the challenges aren't integrated into your main Save. It gives you more of a reason to play it, beyond just trying them out.

    My computer can only run the legacy version because it's too old soeven though I own the game, but can't get any of the update until I buy a new device. And the Sims basically pressures me to do just that with limited time features. It reminds me of mobile games tbh.

    I’ve maxed a toddlers skills in 1 sim day. Tiny house, get parent to teach flash cards/use nesting blocks, read to child for imagination, hug the teddy over and over and then use the slide over and over. Shouldn’t take long. That was only 1 toddler though. Would probably take longer with 3.
    Edit: just coming back to say I finished the scenario in 2 days lol

    From my experience, toddlers seems to get obsessed with their tablets. They can start playing with them straight out of bed until their energy falls to zero and they pass out.
    Toddlers DO accumulate satisfaction points, but they stay invisible until they age up. The points are there. You just can't see them.
    I have a challenge proposition : Rag to Riches, Hard Core mode. (or Hell mode)
    You start without even a terrain. You get some special traits : UNwelcome Everywhere, that prevent you from accessing any residential lot and increase the cost of everything you buy and receive less for what you sell, and a special Curse of Ugliness that also make things cost more for you. You get the bonus traits water proof, used to heat and used to cold to reflect your hardship. After all, you are «used» to sleep outside in any weather.
    You need to buy back or get rid of the trait and curse, buy a terrain on witch to build your home, build a fully functional house, THEN have a million funds.

    • @Kualinar
      @Kualinar 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Need to add this : Don't bother with the tablets made for the toddlers. Give them some dabblets.
      The toy tablet is of no use once the tiddler age up. The dabblet can be use for his whole life.

    The thinking skill is easy, especially with more than one toddler. Just get them all to watch each other. Super fast, never any tears or tantrums. If you continue it long enough their attention meter runs down a little, that's the only downside.

    For this scenario, I'd go with the Style Influencer career, as it has some easy work from home tasks, get Charisma lvl 2 so I can cheer the kids up, speeding up their Comunication and Thinking skill gains, and have a rotational skill building routine, as you'll need your adult sim when practicing Thinking by helping with the blocks or showing the cards, since toddlers learn faster with adults.

    Fixing old challenges builds:
    Builds which were created in challenges, (for example random pack generator challenges, every room is the same colour etc.) get redecorated. You’re trying to make the build as cute as possible and aesthetically cohiesive. You get to choose 2 out of the options below per room.
    1. Change wall paint to anything
    2. Change flooring to anything
    3. Move the existing walls
    4. Add more walls
    5. Swap three items
    6. Add five items
    7. Unlimited clutter/ decor
    8. Add up to 5 tiles anywhere you want
    9. Add/ change windows, doors and lighting
    10. Delete up to three items

    Honestly, this is an incredibly accurate representation of parenthood. I remember when my twin cousins were born. One was pretty anxious and shy, he loves dinosaurs and is smart. He’s ginger and was born with a large red birthmark above his right eye. The other, absolute chaos. She has curly brown hair, is non-verbal but very extroverted. She doesn’t really feel pain, (once knocked her tooth out, at the age of 2 and the only reason anyone noticed anything was wrong was when she wasn’t eating right). Short ass attention span, and she doesn’t recognise danger.
    The boy was got stuck in the chicken coop and began to cry. He asked his twin to get help, she made it 5 meters before getting distracted by a little toy car in the dirt.

    -Automatically disable mods/cc/console during the scenario (able to re-enable them after the challenge is complete)
    -With the above, you could have a leaderboard with times (speedrun catagory).
    -Maybe different difficulties (with the toddler challenge, make 3 todders with the 3 skills "easy difficulty", maybe make 5 with 5 skills at max for "hard difficulty"

    I've wanted the ability to customize* the gameplay a bit more before you start playing without having to do a bunch of cheats, and this is the closest I think I'll get to that, so I'm kinda happy with the scenarios.
    *By customizing I mean not starting completely blank, but start with a few friendships or relationships or even having some sentiments to other people, and just everything that makes it feel like it's not just a sim that was just created, but a sim that's had a life before we started playing with them

    I played the scenario with a single dad and the three toddlers and I gave him the Critic career and just had him work from home while they are toddlers. This way he had a career that he had to maintain but he didn't actually leave the home so he could take care of the toddlers all the time. It took me 4 Sim days to complete the challenge. And I did potty train them. lol. It was a lot of fun and I could definitely see this as a story prompt. I am a seasoned Sims player. Been playing since Sims 2 and I have completed the 7 toddler challenge twice. One of them being the rags to riches with 7 babies challenge and one being with an elder raising 7 toddlers so I'm not exactly the target demographic for this scenario. But it was still a lot of fun and I enjoyed it.

    I didn’t think this was too difficult- of course I used a micro home to get double skills. My toddlers were -charmer, fussy, and silly (randomized traits of course). I used the 100 baby starter home Kayak made. I also made sure my sim had a stock pile of food in the fridge so she had time to work on her career. She leveled up once though, so I’ll take it. I even had her work on her aspiration (big happy family). I’ve got one more hour to read to the children and the second part is done.
    I would’ve had this thing finished in 4 (sim) days, but it glitched out and didn’t complete it right away. So according to the game, I finished it in 5 days instead after my last toddler maxed one of her skills. My first two toddlers maxed 3 skills and got to level 3 or 4 in two others, and my last toddler maxed 1 skill, 3 or 4 in three other skills, and level 2 in the other skill. My goal is to get as many skills maxed out my their birthday (day 6 since it’s normal lifespan)

    I finished the Too Many Toddlers very quickly. But I did use the Wabbit Tablets a lot (as those you can sit the toddler down and the stay with it until you want to interact with them) and for the first time used the play tent. (Only 2 kids at a time can use it, unfortunately.)
    I'm in the middle of the Money scenario because I wanted to try it out. I've got nearly $200,000 now. ( But I'm playing a *lot*.)
    However, even if there were "expert" level scenarios, I doubt I'd play them much more than the quickies. I only do "challenges" of any sort when there's been an update and I want to play for a while before I head back to my "legacy" family where I use a lot of CC. (Not legacy in terms of "legacy challenges" but "legacy" the way we've used it since TS2: play with the same family generation after generation until the family has so many generations that your computer can't handle it any longer.)
    I'm really surprised that they're putting out so many of the all at the same time. You'd think they'd spread them out (especially if they're going to put some as time limited) to keep people more interested. I think they should have put them out one at a time, with a couple of weeks at least between them. (Although perhaps they're thinking "some people won't do some challenges at all." I know that if the "breakup" one was the only one to come out, I wouldn't try it even if it was the only one for a while. Not my thing. The "well rounded" is far more my thing, because that's essentially how I like to handle my "legacy" play. I'm a polymath so I turn my Sims into them as well! I often have them working on 2-4 aspirations at the same time.)
