Pundit ji will continue to be heard as long as Mitta is around. It was a great honor to meet this great sitar maestro in 1987 and to sit at his feet when Mitta was a young girl. Even at a very young age she was such a beautiful player. Manila ji is one of the most humble gurus I met during my few years in India as a young man. In a few lessons he made me realize the truth about being a sitar player. I was fortunate to have learned from his devoted Shishya Kalyan Lahiri for a year before I met him. My greatest respect to Mitta and my Guruji Pundit Manila Ji.

Mita has played it with same brilliance
She is now the torch bearer of the Bisnupur Gharana
