Very good idea to replace the rubber seal for the fuel pump at the same time. The rubber breaks down over time leading to fuel smell in cabin. Only £12 from the dealer.

There is a loose spark on the right hand side of the loom near the injector on the front bank. This is serious as v6s can self ignite with porous fuel pipes. It was easy to see on the video when you did the second " first start". I've looked again......and it's not a spark at all.....it's just something waving around that looked a bit like spark to me......My apologies and I'm off to Specsavers shortly....however the rubber injection feed pipes do go porous over time....I've seen it.....with my glasses on...

@@ItaliaAutos Thanks a lot Neil, used your video on taking out the back seat/fuel pump out of your blue GTV, and tested the power at the pump and there was none. Found it was the 15A fuse blown under the bonnet next to relay. new fuse and all ok. I suspect the pump may be on its way out as it has been making a racket shortly after startup when the tank is low. I will get in touch if it blows again about that one you have. Thanks a lot.

@Farina Marcini for your information I have owned two Alfa's and a FIAT.
NEITHER made it to 100 k without significant problems.
If they are so reliable and durable why aren't they best sellers?
I live in the United States and reviews by consumers and industry experts agreed they both ALFA and FIAT are poorly built and some of the worst cars on the market.
Cars that were $50 k with less than 10 k miles often sell used in the low twenties.
Several U.S. magazines had them as long term test cars and wrote about problem after problem.

It is kind of pathic trying to put a polish on a turd by claiming other people whom you know nothing about don't maintain their cars properly.
