- I never really appreciated the beauty of the call to prayer until I came to Malaysia. Yet now it’s something that fills me with so much joy and serenity

During COVID lockdown in Cape Town the city was completely quiet except for the athaan, so beautiful.
I once sat in a mosque in Turkey during a call to prayer and simply burst in tears. One of a kind experience.
It calms your thoughts, and it soothes your soul Greg. Happy for you mate.
May God protect you , keep you happy always
You sir , have an open heart and may god secure its content for you
And guide to the straight path
You’re so right brother. That’s the very reason I go to counties where I can hear the call to prayer. I feel dead without it. ❤️
May you be guided to the ultimate truth and peace.
Here are the words for the adhan:
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest)
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, (Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest)
Ash-hadu ala ilaha illallah (I bear witness that there is no God but Allah)
Ash-hadu ala ilaha illallah (I bear witness that there is no God but Allah)
Ash-hadu anna Muhammad ar-rasoolullah (I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah)
Ash-hadu anna Muhammad ar-rasoolullah (I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of Allah)
Hayya 'ala-salah, Hayya 'ala-salah (Come to Prayer, Come to Prayer)
Hayya 'alal falah, Hayya 'alal falah (Come to Success, Come to Success)
Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar (Allah is the Greatest, Allah is the Greatest)
La ilaha illallah (There is no God but Allah
In English, it is “God is the greatest”. When translating, translate it to the language.
Thank you brother in humanity
Yes the Adhan is food of the soul
Thats a lovely comment and thats your open heart talking. ❤ as a muslim I like hearing the call to prayer and grew up hearing church bells. I also like both.
God bless you sir, may you always be guided by the almighty
I personally love church bells too, but I don’t see why that can’t co-exist with the adhan (call to prayer). Allahu Akhbar 🤍 And omG what a beautiful mosque on the water 😍
Its beautiful ❤❤❤❤❤ i hope athan is everywhere in the world.
Thank you brother! Only the one whose soul is open to the beauty of the Creator the Most High Allah SWT, will appreciate and love the sound of The Adan.
Try listening to the Quran in Arabic while reading it in your native language. It's another level of peaceful, deep, universal language which stands with all times. The Quranic verses are coming alive now, give it time and read it with an open heart you'll be touched as well inshALLAH
When you close your eyes and listen, it puts u in a trance
Thank u friend ❤🇵🇸☪️🇱🇧❤️🇸🇩
Thank you my dear
When visiting England I was gobsmacked not to hear a single church bell on a Sunday. Being a Christian country that is at least what is expected somewhat. Even here in south Africa I bemoaned the loss of the church bell on a Sunday. What I am indeed thankful for is that my society, in the coloured designated areas, the athaan is heard every single day and me Christian neighbours have no issue with it. We grew up alongside each other finding solace in one another during apartheid and post apartheid, where we are still huddled in our former designated race groups and areas.
@@Southafrica-g5u strange you didn’t hear church bells in England, most towns and villages, even big cities still play every Sunday. Some churches are sadly closing as people have stopped attending, Christianity is now less than 50% of the UK population
You still have colour designated areas and stuff?? Ok uneducated me needs to know ,how so ?
It is a call to excellence and success yet the enemies of all that is good in the world will fiercely oppose it because it is simply goodness, just that.
Hey Greg fun fact the way the prayer announcements are set up is so that at any given moment there's someone calling for prayer on earth
Thats beautiful
I have a church near my neighbourhood where I live here in Spain. I like the bell sounds too. It actually kind of gives the hour time ,so if you don't have a clock but identify the bell sound code you get to know what time it is easily. Love this video
tq sir

This is azan, its calling muslim for prayer. Muslim pray 5 times a day. Pray together in mosque is not compulsory yet in islam, it has many rewards compared to pray alone. In azan, the meaning is mostly praising Allah, invitation to salah and invitation to succeed.
😊🇬🇧..wise man👍
Kuching Sarawak, a nice place for a short leisure.

Its that for you. Not for others.
It is allowed but only in few masjids
Zombies will get shook hearing this in UK
Alhamdulillah 🙂
But if you know the meaning of the Adzan calling, I think you will find it to be more fascinatingly beautiful.
Go ahead search it yourself 😁
Hi, we muslims are not supposed to talk during the call to prayer, hope you understand.
May Allah guide you to the truth and open your heart for Islam

@@GregGetsEverywhere Thank you. Really beautiful indeed. Thanks for sharing.
I grew up within earshot of a church. I've heard plenty of calls to prayer. How about all you theists use an app on your phone instead, and leave us non-religious folk in peace?
The UK isnt missing out thank you
I'm a Sikh and I don't want this
