    As a new (or newer) You Tuber (70 Subs last time I looked, LOL) and being invited to Live You Tube shows. Your Name and ThunderMesaStudio comes up often as a Standard in modeling.

    This is probably my favorite structure that I’ve watched you build.

    Great build Dave! Despite growing up in Arizona, I realized after watching this video that I didn't know that much about how adobe structures were built! Can't wait to see your next structure build, and I'm especially looking forward to that saloon, seems like it'll be a fun one!

      If I can figure out a way to do it without overpowering the scene, I'll add a coach.

    Nice Build Dave, very informative is full of great tips. Time for me to try a few adobe brick/block structures , many adobe structures ( Missions )are restored and still standing in Calif. Thanks for the inspiration!

    Outstanding model work. Love the windows and LED flickering light. Did you consider a pot belly stove or desk inside the structure. If a person did not understand the hobby of model railroading I would just show them this video. Thanks

      Thank you Chris. I considered adding those things but decided not to since the could not be seen.

    Dave, this structure is truly beautiful. I do wished you were offering this structure as a kit. I for one would or could go to $200.00 for this truly one of a kind kits.

      Hell, I would scratch build one for half of that price.

    Dave for a similar structure made from limestone would I use the Rustoleum Camouflage flat tan or would I start like you and use the flat brown?

    • @ThunderMesaStudio
      @ThunderMesaStudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Either would be a good color to start with, then dry brush on lighter tan acrylics until you get to the limestone color you want.

    Any chance that one will be commercialized I would not mind owning a small piece of Thunder Mesa and I like the green roof adornment :-)
    and its a small easy to find space for structure.

    Dave, I like it. Nothing new there. I like the adobe as representative of the Southwest. Could you please tell me the laser cutter that you use. Thank you.

    I love this build Dave! I especially love the way you did the adobe walls and the glazing for the windows. I need to try that technique. I'm curious, I'm looking for laser board for my laser cutter and I was wondering where you got yours?

      My best guess? Probably because the term originated in the theater.

    Awesome build! What is laser board please? Is it a wood or card product? thanks

    • @ThunderMesaStudio
      @ThunderMesaStudio  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Laser board is a compressed paper/wood product similar to very thin MDF. You can get it in sizes down to .010"

      @@ThunderMesaStudio thank you. I don’t think it’s available in my country. Looks like a great product for your work

    Excellent model. I like a lot the metal roof, did something similar in styrene, but even with thicker styrene, it needed some strapping to prevent wrapping.
    Shouldn't the laser allow to do the carving? Monster Modelworks do it professionally, but I didn't see many hobbyist using it. Maybe it is related to the model (and price) of the laser.

    • @ThunderMesaStudio
      @ThunderMesaStudio  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can do some dimensional etching with the laser using raster rather than vector files, but they are fairly shallow and it takes a LOT of laser time. Better for smaller scales like HO/N. In this case, it was quicker and easier to do it by hand.

    Where do you buy your Balsa Foam from as I have tried to find it and it almost looks like it is not being made.
