Even her veggie scraps go to the neighbor's chickens. She loves to feed her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, the neighbors and anyone that comes around. She's just unstoppable!!!!! We called my Grandma Nanny but she was a Nonna just like Gina. I use to bake with her and make pasta ect. I lost her when I was only 12 yrs old. I am now teaching her daughter, my Aunt how to can her own Italian marinara this week. I miss her so much. Gina brings that warmth back into my heart. 💓

Save the seeds from vegetables you eat (ripe tomatoes, pumpkin) and start your seedlings inside. I buy vegetable seed packets at the dollar store. A garden takes work and time, not necessarily a lot of money.

All of it, but especially the fig trees remind me of my grandma who passed in 2005 at age 98, still a gardener and hard worker! She too had the garden around her house- in Tucson AZ! Her & grandpa worked hard for decades enriching the soil around the house with vegetable trimmings, coffee grinds and ground up egg shells. beautiful garden like yours, to include artichokes, eggplants and peppers.
