STORY OF KEDARTAL:
After the Famous SAMUDRA MANTHAN where LORD SHIVA drank the POISON that came out of the CHURNING OF THE OCEAN he had a burning sensation in his Throat HIS KANTH.
LORD SHIVA went to the heights of HIMALAYAS and found a LAKE where he drank the HOLY WATER and QUENCHED his thirst and the FIRE in his throat. SINCE THEN this lake is called KEDARTAL.

Brother, It's always been my dream to visit to this magnificent place. Although, I have been to Gangotri-Gomukh-Nandanvan many times but never get blessed to visit kedartal. I am actually a solo traveler and it would certainly become difficult to attempt this trek alone. I have neither any tent nor any other important essentials that would require during the trek and there r no homestays. Therefore, sensing danger, I have asked one of my friends to accompany me on this trek and he is also ready to join me..
Dear, we are only two persons... and dates are also not confirmed so we were thinking that would it be possible for any tour operator to make a manual plan and take 2 of us only on this trek on a specific Date and that too in a BUDGET trip..??? If so , then any idea about the trek charges required ..?? Do u have any genuine sources who could make all the arrangements as u know there r several tour operators out there, who charges hefty amount of money and we can't even place our trust on them. So I wonder, if anyone could make me familiar with some genuine operators. I would greatly appreciate if u plz help me??

In Uttarkashi you will get your supplies, guide and porters.
Go for someone with some exp. guiding folks. There are plenty around. In any case, you can ask the mountaineering insti NIM to help give some reference
