yeah that was a awesome one! the murals in this alley change every couple months. That was a good one, but it was tagged a lot with graffiti and it had been up for a while so the gallery asked us to make a new one. In a couple months someone will go over ours too. This is the nature of street art.
This is why I could never be a street artist. I don't think I'd be cool with my piece getting painted over like that. Especially if it had turned out as well as that "War not Peace" piece. Granted, I'm a political art junkie, so I'll always prefer the political stuff when done well, but I'm surprised the owner didn't just touch up the existing piece.
