Ok so I was wondering if the VA for M!Alear was queer. He honestly brought so much character and charm the character. By far the most likeable protag since Radiant Dawn, and I think the voice acting played a great part in that as well as the writing. Alear is so goofy and likeable instead of a cardboard protag for the player to project themselves on.
It's like they took the criticism of male Byleth not really having any gay romances and went hardcore in the direction of giving the MC every gay romance possible lol I love it though, FE's MC romances should always be like this. All it does is give players the choice to romance who they want, after all

My Husband Diamant... You know how he loosen so bad with Alear during the events and that passage line in the Reference Notes. He's just something. Junichi Sawabe also ace the ASMR. He's so in love and honestly a beast inside. So perfect despite what he says.
Pandreo is definitely my one romantic pick. Especially as Male Alear since some of the lines said are very queer, like "No one can tell you how to feel or how not to feel" or "When two people have feelings like we do, that can't be forbidden or denied". It's just so sweet and the religious guilt is a rather interesting angle. He's adorable. Also I can imagine the stories *that* would lead. "The Divine Dragon lived for a very long time, but he never loved anyone more than the love he had with a cleric named Pandreo. Their love together would change the religion forever to be one filled with open-mindedness and love" Or something along those lines. It just seems so impactful. I still prefer Veyle because it's very impactful story-wise plus Veyle and Alear's sibling dynamic really deserves a touching finale, but Pandreo definitely would be one I choose if I had to do it with romantic intent.
Wait I’m a fan of non-romantic options more for these stand in characters and like that option for Vander (Alois and Byleth for example which YEAH I would kiss Vander or Alois but character wise for Byleth I liked the idea of them being single) I really??? Like Mauvier and Alear. Having Mauvier be Veyle’s brother in law is cute too since they care for one another so much already. Also really glad they kinda just did away with only a few characters being able to have a same sex relationships this game. I personally decided to pick Kagetsu for my Pact Ring. He's such a wholesome ball of sunshine. But it was really hard between him, Diamant, Alfred, and Seadall.
My first S-Support was Alfred as F!Alear, and I'm in the middle of a second playthrough as M!Alear right now. Stuck choosing between Céline, Chloé, or Yunaka I think lol.
generally like these, but a little disappointed that so many of these male ones is the male proposing an Alear reciprocating when the female ones where Alear led -I would have liked a mix in both cases
So are the support conversations themselves the same for both Alears? I've seen a few for either and it seems to be the case. I know that some of the paired endings are different.
I do wish that Diamant’s one was less “yea let’s be allies and fight together!” When it’s clearly not a platonic situation. Especially when you have Alfred straight up say he loves you. All the other princes and some of the other men have much more romantic ones. Even Kagetsu says “I love you”. But Diamant says “let’s fight together as allies” 😢

@12parakeetsinahumansuit he's not a DLC character. You can recruit him on the ship map if you use Alear, Ivy or Hortensia to talk to him.
