Spawn is a 2/2 that gives a 1/1 buff per minion, so if it hits two minions it's 1 stat better than cleric. The issue is that it often fails to buff two or more minions and even when it does, the fact of it being a deathrattle means you have to wait an extra turn, attack stuff in a particular order and run the risk of buffing less than the desired amount. Occasionally you'll buff a bunch of minions for great value, but I don't think that happens enough to mitigate the downsides.
IT depends on the deck.. In a zoolock deck i promise you it's much much better than cleric.. In a paladin or shaman deck it's still quite a lot better (overall), but in a random arena deck, yeah it's much less reliable than cleric is.

This card actually works much better in versions of Zoo druid that take after Egg druid. You can toss Mark of the Wild on these guys so that your opponent can only clear your other minions with spells first. If they can't, you basically win.

As weird as it sounds, I find this to be a good late game card. If you've got any amount of a board and play this, your opponent will suddenly do some less desirable trades, otherwise you basically trade insanely well and they'll never recover.

Flame Imp isn't summoned just put on the board through void caller's deathrattle. This goes for all battlecrys and combo effects. It gets interesting with choose one-transform effects as you get the vanilla card. For example Druid of the claw would remain human (without beast tag) being a 4/4 without charge or taunt.

Why would you want to have a full board? I feel like you flop it down when their board is empty, forcing them to put down a charger, use a weapon, or removal to get rid of it. If they don't, you throw down some bigger minions next turn and slam it into one of their minions for the deathrattle. Is this not how one would use it?
I would think this card would be better if it had 1hp (maybe a 1/1 for 2), since it would make some mages and warriors go more zoo-ish as they could play it as an instant buff to their minions if needed (mage hero power and warrior has so many card doing 1 damage own cards). Or maybe not, but often it seems to weak for its purpose and too strong to be a straight buff, but making it a straight buff for mage might also make it OP... I like something about its dynamic, but just not completely happy about how it is implemented.

MissionDelta yet the main classes that i face on ladder right now are mage shaman and paladin. all three of which have great board clears
