    I’m with you on using 5 amp fuses. Good vidio, I just had one with an intermittent short it would go about a day I hate those its so much easier when it’s a dead short. I had a bad contractor coil and I pretty much felt like that’s what it was when I went out. Lol, I didn’t take the time to ohm out that coil so it cost me having to go back. I knew better that’s one of those live and learn moments. Good vidio thanks.

    I burned up a transformer by using a 5A fuse instead of the purple 3A. Cause of the blown 3A was a shorted coil on the contactor in the condenser unit. I would suggest to use the same value fuse that came out.

    So do you just use a 5 amp popper fuse as well for trouble shooting or do you carry both 3 and 5 for testing purposes?

    • @AIRMANHVAC
      @AIRMANHVAC  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I haven’t had good results using a popper….transformers getting burnt up. I keep a big box of 5 amps only. No issues using just 5’s.

    Can you explain Why Fuse Pops when I connect the Y’s to the furnace control board? Like I can’t power Outdoor unit with 24v because it pops

    • @AIRMANHVAC

      There must be a short of some kind in your wiring or the contactor in the condensing unit.

    My fuse will last a month or two.
    So its hard to find the short and is intermittently happening.

    3amp fuse is blown only when switched to heat the AC side works no problem. Start up is fine on heat. flame goes on and as soon as the blower starts, the fuse is blown any suggestions?

    • @AIRMANHVAC
      @AIRMANHVAC  9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @@jorgeangulo9691 is this a module driven motor or a relay & capacitor style motor?

    • @jorgeangulo9691
      @jorgeangulo9691 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @ I believe it’s module driven Goodmen GPG 13

    • @AIRMANHVAC
      @AIRMANHVAC  8 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      @ I’d bet on the module causing the issue. Unplug the low voltage wires from the module. Call for fan at the thermostat/control, if the fuse doesn’t blow, it’s the module.
