When I was a kid. There was a T.V. shot called SWAT. I told myself one day I would be on a SWAT Team. Day Hell! I was on the E-Squad for seven before it became the CERT teams. 19 years in all. We trained hard not one drill went by that a troop did not go to the ER. Sometimes 4 or 5. I my day we had a moto, IF YOU NEED THEM HURT CALL CERT!!!

I put in about 2 1/2 years and was promoted to our Special Operations team at the jail I work at. They’re not just going to hand it to you, you’ve got to show them that you deserve it and put your time in

@@danielstollings1167 Oh they do there because it's a friggin joke. I went from PD to the kentucky DOC and it was laughable. The basic academy was a joke, and the CERT team was so easy half the teams were 400LBs. It was the only special operations team I had ever seen that couldn't run a mile. I've seen Mall Cops more qualified than they were.

Participated in two Mock Prison Riots, at the old WV State Pen at Moundsville... before the North Chapel was featured on MTV's Fear.

I've been thinking on doing CERT here in Washington, if I can make it would be an awesome opportunity.

@@grodriguez512 Understandable its the same in the military you have to work put in time to prove yourself before you can do some things. You can't just put an unproven person in something when they haven't learned the ropes.

@Spudz Mckenzie Yes sir I understand and agree with your point but my point is even that seal off the street trained hard before he became a seal. I've had buddies I've served with in the pact sailor program that want to be seals but don't train hard like one. And thank you for your service but for you to have become that you trained for it.
