All the money to help poor family’s in the uk went to build Boris Johnson’s house in Beverly Hills that table would fit in there perfectly

I remember pulling better tables than that out of various old industrial places around Aust back in the 80,s and putting them thru auction. Fabulous slabs of solid silky oak 7/8 inches thick.
And some amazing Australian cedar, kauri and huon pine furniture. It used to be everywhere. Power stations were a goldmine. The asbestos was always a worry though. Still have an amazing brass gauge which was attached to a smoke stack. Beautiful with etched floral pattern in the face glass. About 24” in diameter.
