Excellent tip from Coach Gu. It may seem kinda obvious hitting in front, but it is absolutely not! You can tell someone to hit in front 1 million times during coaching but it’s just so unintuitive. And they don’t. “Trust the force” is a pretty good visual image to just let go and swing. Excellent video fellas. Keep it up!
Do you guys coach the wrist extension/layback position and use of multi segments (forearm and wrist) as a means of generating pace and spin? It’s helpful to see Coach Harry hitting as well, you could see where potential problems arise and how to correct them. The clarification at the end regarding the proper racket clock orientation is important and beneficial. The area that could use further clarification is the ball bounce part. Advanced male players hit heavy spin and the ball can get over your shoulders quickly, especially if you’re under 6’6”.
Great video! I think I might have come up with this term while coaching: “the point of zero gravity” for that second where the ball stays. Can you make a video about where the ball should be in the toss while serving? Does the zero gravity moment still apply? Thank you for your dedication!
The thing that unlocked everything personally was when I understood you need to do a FULL UNIT TURN with your shoulders even in the forehand side, and that gives you enough coil and momentum to be able to hit it at 2. Amazing how that always gets missed by coaches 😂
Good demo on how to hit a "normal" forehand. My strike zone on my forehand depends on how well I screw up 😂, jk, it depends lot on type of forehand and the situation I'm striking the ball in, rarely are my shots ever the same because the situation I am required to hit the ball in constantly changes so learning to hit the ball "offensively" late is now essential in my game as I'm not the fastest kid on the block anymore. I always remember my opponent's objective is to always be trying to deny me situations that I can actually hit a clean shot so they can set themselves up for one, my job in that situation is to deny them that especially when they have me on the defensive. Best way to learn this is to hit against a practice wall, it's better than Nadal 😂.
When you are hitting your forehands do you try to pretend you’ll be catching incoming ball with your non hitting hand or do you try positioning yourself so that left hand when fully extended is just a few inches out of reach from the ball. The visual picture I am imagining is if someone else is watching you directly behind you in line with the ball incoming ball trajectory Hope that makes sense
The best video EVER as contact out in front and how to get there is so critical for a consistent and powerful shot. I enjoy Harry’s blend of equipment info and instructional training. Relax Harry. You are stiffer and tighter as me. 😂 Great content. 🎾
Kinda hard to watch. Good intentions but needs more polish. Maybe practice?? Trust the force? Huh? Don't just say things that sound catchy. Hope this is constructive. Rooting for you guys.
Maybe you wanna make a video of yourself and show you know handling a tennis racket.. learn to appreciate what others sharing, if you can’t, no ones need you here
@@bournejason66 I did. I do see how the drill would be helpful to learn how to hit through the ball more, no doubt about that. Am I only allowed to critique the drill or am I allowed to give my opinion on the whole thing?

Far and away the best video you guys have ever done. Excellent information. Thanks!
What a beautiful technique coach Gu possesses! 👍😮 I wish I was at least half as good as him...
Love Coach Christ reactions!!! He must be thinking, “What......”
I think if Gu wants to compete at ITF level he has the skill to do so. Even if he focuses on double.
I believe he can do singles better

You Guys Rock!! Always fun to watch you guys!!
More videos like this please.
One of the better FH videos on TH-cam 🤙🏻
Harry!!! The best forehands I have ever seen you hit!! And your feet, they were dancing!!!
Great pointers, timing is everything so instruction on how to anticipate when where to hit cleanly effortlessly. Well done Coach Gu 💯%
great lesson and questions! I like it! 👍
The grip controls contact point. Continental grip ideal strike point is lower and further back.
Great teaching, lovely tennis crew!
Can you do a contact point on single handed backhand? Pleaseee
In front of right hip?
Great video, Its tricky when we play with someone who plays with deep spin, but is the best way to play, hit in front and trust in the force

Great video, as always. Man I can feel the Bay Area chill through the video. Hello from L.A.!

Can you make one video for the one backhand or two backhand?
Yoda said it! gotta trust the force!
7:27 Now I see I have been doing it wrong all these years! I should have had a coach instructing me to "Trust the Force!" 😆
Great tips
This is helpful for where I’m at
This is a great technical video.
Ha! I know that drill- it’s great to reach out to the ball. Cuz I’m Filipino- I want to be on time!
Thanks for this lesson!! really helpful Great job guys 👍 thanks 🎾

also, Gu is a beast!
Must try this drill. A smart way to groove one’s technique. I’m married to a Filipina. Maybe that’s why I’m always late on my forehand 🤷♂️
And he's juggling while coach Gu is teaching 🤣
Great video
Coach Gu is pretty good.
Great videos and excellent exercise. Coach Gu it's a crack.

Not just the forehand, but the backhand and the serve too.

What/where is that tennis court located at? It looks really cool!
What’s coach Gu’s forehand grip? Eastern or semi western?
Go go forehand

Did you watch till the end? The three steps and the drill are super helpful to me. Guess it’s not enough for you?
