Interesting, the plot in Showdown is kind of similar to the history of the freetown Chirstiania in Copenhagen during the mid 80s to mid 90s. Bunch of hippies, anarchists and collectivists moved into old abandoned army baracks and declared independence in 1971. The freetown had no police authority and open cannabis trade, so naturally a biker gang moved in and decided they were now the de facto authority and controllers of the drug trade, this eventually lead to a bunch of murders and a gang war.

I remember seeing Robot in the Family on TV when I was home from school sick; I later thought it was just an insane fever dream!

Brother Love was a professional wrestling manager from the early 90s in the WWF. His gimmick was that of an exaggerated TV evangelist with such a ridiculous spray-on tan that he looked literally red.

In the words of one breathy, angry Randy Savage, he is "the man who tells nothing but lies". YOU BROKE THAT PROMISE, HULK HOGAN. AND THAT'S ENOUGH TO GET ME HOT.
