The Heart Sutra (or the Prajna Parimita Sutra in Sanskrit. meaning perfect wisdom to achieve enlightenment) is extremely difficult, in fact almost impossible, to fully comprehend or explain in its infinite dimension for even the most learned of older monks and masters, much less fledgling monks and laymen. The teacher is clearly very intelligent, curious, sincere and knowledgeable, even if he is young and therefore at times struggles with translating, articulating and expressing his thoughts in English. One needs o look past the messenger and focus on what he is teaching about the profound beauty of the Shakyamuni Buddha's core teaching about awakening the mind and seeking enlightenment (Bodhichitta in Sanskrit) - ultimate lasting peace and happiness.

I can just see that he's not enjoying this. I see a lot of effort and discomfort as he tries to express himself and it doesn't put me at ease. I don't see the beauty or the joy of the teaching coming through. I see that he's a lovely man but not a good teacher. However, it has awakened my compassion. Who asked him to do this should just let him sit and meditate...
I think he is wonderful. I have never met him but when I see his talks, I see someone who is totally sincere and committed to the benefit of all beings. And very learned, compassionate, kind, and well practiced. He has a lot of humor as well in other talks. I hope to see him in person someday!
Extremely thankful for this teaching on the heart sutra texts.

ohhhh to be that calm
It's a pretty heavy sutra despite how common it is in Buddhism. Just didn't want to mislead anyone.

+Tom George Maybe you don't have karmic connection with him, for me this is awesome.
An excellent teacher!
