- The Van Zyls Perdesport is an annual horse and sports event that is hosted in a small settlement called van Zylsrus.After 2 years without holding the event because of Covid 19, the event was back in a bang. On the 2July 2022 people gathered at this event to enjoy music, horse racing and sports activities such as boxing and a 2 day soccer tournament. The event was successful as local community members and youth participated, creating platform to showcase local talent of artists, young boxers and soccer players. This event develops rural communities and contributes to the local economic development of the Northern Cape.
