    This was the very first RCI ship I sailed on as a young child. Amazing to see it’s still in great condition nearly 20 years later.

    From one middle school teacher to another, your ship tours are my absolute favorites. Your explanations and commentary are spot on and insightful. We booked on the Jewel last year, through Harr Travel, based mostly on your tour of the ship. You are able to capture that pre-cruise excitement!

    Thanks for the tour of this ship! We set sail on this ship from Vancouver to Alaska on August 25 this year with my hubby and my parents and it’s our first cruise so it’s nice to get a crash course on what to expect! Now I’m more excited since we upgraded to the junior presidential suite for only 1k more. Can’t wait to see whales, glaciers, mountains and truly experience Alaska. Thank you!’

    For a ship of this age, she's growing old so beautifully. I cruised on Rhapsody a few weeks ago, and would say I was equally as impressed with her - they're looking after these so well!

    Ah my honeymoon was on this ship in 2008. Loved it then and looks even better now.

    My wife and I had our first cruise ship travel exactly 9 years ago, the same route with this ship. We enjoyed so much (our best vacation ever), that decided to travel again. We are sailing on Sep23rd from Vancouver.

    Uh-oh gotta book a cruise with Danny to bet on a game or two of mini golf! Hahaha thanks for all the tours bro. Giving yall a call soon!
    GREAT TIP on the coffee in the adult only area. Thinking of jumping on this newly remodeled ship for the 2023 year.

    Thanks for the detailed tour. I have been looking for exactly this since May. I'm taking my first ever cruise on Radiance of the Seas on September 9th out of Vancouver. I booked the trip myself and yes have made many costly mistakes and have learned that if I'm going to do more of these extended type vacations I would be better served using a professional travel agent.

    Thank you for this very informative and entertaining video. I'm sailing out of Vancouver on this ship for an 11 Night Hawaii Cruise on 9/23 on this ship and found many of your tips very helpful. Do you know if Royal Caribbean still rents Tuxedoes for formal night? I have reached out to them a couple of times and have not heard anything back.

    One of the best class of ships that Royal Caribbean has designed but it depends on your tastes. I love lounges with dance floors, pubs, piano bars (and not the in a big space type) that type of public area and this ship has plenty of them. They were made on the same hull as the Celebrity Millennium and I think Royal did a better job of it. It also had more richness to it when dark woods were in vogue vs. the gray/beige thing going on with the newest classes of cruise ships. I'm not sure what was redesigned and changed but it looks like it has kept a lot of the same character in it.

    Wonderful they are renovating. Hopefully the staterooms too. Been watching your Independence series and the rooms are spacious but in need of revamping.

    Is the Solarium pool heated? On past cruises, those pools were always chilly.🥶

    • @HarrTravel
      @HarrTravel  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That always depends on where the ship is sailing. Alaska and Caribbean sailings are often heated differently.

    We were supposed to cruise on Liberty but got Covid, legit were supposed to be on it today, made me so so sad. Well we had a choice to rebook between this ship and Allure. Allure is beautiful but it sucks for kids, Radiance at least has a water slide. Any idea what they plan on doing with the new splash pad? This will be my 4th cruise, all 3 of mine have been on Rhapsody so this ship is like one step above that.

    That ship is painfully dated.

    • @benjaminsmith2287
      @benjaminsmith2287 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      What's painful IMO is people who don't realize that today's contemporary ships are painfully dated due to the trendy colors (or lack of color) in them that will be out of style in 10-12 years and that good is good, no matter the period. It's a modern ship in many ways which has decor that was considered rich and beautiful when it was built just like today's ships. And ships aren't disposable. They should sail at least 30 years. This ship isn't even really vintage. It's still modern.
