TO THE BURJ (VLOG

Despite it being a decent hotel room, I decide I shouldn't be staying in it all day, and make my way around a bit. Specifically, I find myself slowly heading to the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world (for now). Not easily, though, as the city isn't laid out in any straightforward grid pattern. I find myself going underground at one point, and through much of the Dubai Mall in an effort to find the entrance to the Burj.
Eventually, I do find the kiosk selling tickets to the top, and they come to AED 785, or roughly US $200. That's more than I paid for my hotel room; I realize this is a once-in-a-lifetime thing, but I've been up in a tall building not too long ago, and it wasn't a tenth of that. I decide not to bother, and begin to make my way back home…
