KAYAK ROUND THE LOUVRE (VLOG

To be fair, this was the main event of today's shore excursion, but I had been expecting that it would be the last part of the trip. Not that I'm complaining; at least this way, if any part of the tour got short shrift, it wouldn't be our kayaking around the Louvre (what a strange sentence to say; I'm still coming to grips with the fact that Abu Dhabi HAS a Louvre - although in fairness, we never did get to see any of the art that might be on display within - let alone that it's surrounded by a lagoon of sorts that is fed by or empties into the Arabian Sea).
We spent nearly an hour paddling around the building, and according to one of the other guests who had their GPS on, we traveled about 1600 meters or so in the process. Quite the interesting trip…
