The apartments beyond the beach huts are the 'sands'. Mainly for rent, we've stayed there a few times, well worth the money for a family rather than a B&B. My family travelled to Scarborough from Glasgow every July in the 60's and early 70's. No beach huts then, but concrete chalets with flat roofs for sunbathing on.

I love the beach huts! It was fun to see inside them. Are they for rent, or do people buy them? They seem very handy. I loved the park, too. What a lovely place.

Most are owned, as far as I know, but I believe you can rent a few of them. Never had one myself. In some places of the UK, mainly south coast, they can cost tens of thousands of pounds.
The park is relaxing, great to visit on a warm day
