This shouldn't have been in my wheelhouse as a 14 year old, but the art and story really grabbed me. This one was my favourite of the bunch .

I think if this had been published by someone other than Image, I never would have bought it. I'm glad they decided to publish it, it's a fun book and kind of widened my horizons just a bit.

Great vid! Interesting comic, keeping with the old feel of comics. I think Malibu comics still made comics with color like this on newsprint. But the comics weren't very good.

Nooo, they were not. I'm thinking about ordering a copy of Protectors #1, just to show where Malibu was before they went Ultraverse, and to a show a book that feels like it's trying to compete with the big boys, but not really coming anywhere close.

I still have a handful of #1's from Malibu. Got them early on in my teenage exploring comics journey, when I was figuring out what I wanted to read. I also think that's when I really noticed that comic companies steal characters from each other, haha.

@@TheMontoya76 Yeah, I don't think i was going to comic shops regularly at that point, so I was just buying what was at the drug store and every once in a while it was Malibu. I don't think it took too many issues to go "... maybe goth Morbius isn't that bad, I'll stick with that".
