While Liyue's OST really captures the fantastic and different world that is the Contract Nation, I have always felt that Mondstadt, probably for being the first region, gives a unique nostalgic and calm feeling. honestly, both liyue and mondstadt have amazing osts. like in my opinion when you're around travelling, i personally like mondstadts' ost more, but liyue's battle ost? thats a whole other level- but still, i personally think liyue is better due to the vast amount of exploration you can do. mondstadt is beautiful but it's plain (compared to liyue) and apparently next area is going to be japanese themed from what i've heard, and im SUPER excited since mondstadt and liyue have been great already, and who knows, maybe the new realm will be better than both mondstadt and liyue. edit: bruh why did i write so much reading this is like listening to fischl mispronouncing german words
i first heard The Horizon when i finally reached the nameless island, not even knowing for sure if i could reach it or not, and it was such a magical experience for such a small corner of the world
Mondstadt is truly the "Town of beginnings" you play in other JRPGs and that is why it feels like home no matter what. I always make sure to return to Mondstadt before i log out.

My top favorite Genshin tracks are Mondstadt's calming bgm. When it comes to battle theme, Liyue's bgms are the best.

Free games are the most expensive, but in Genshin is totally worth it, this game is a masterpiece.
