Probably more realistic than most stories Hollywood puts out there these days.
Good job. This was a very underrated movie that showed that poverty knows no race, gender or ethnic group. Excellent performances by all of the main actors. Just an all-around good movie.
Definitely one of the better movies in recent times without any woke stuff.
Me and my mother used to go and pick scraps of coal of an old slag tip. A neighbour showed my mother what to pick. We were very hard up my mother struggled for years before things got better. We lived in the Rhondda valley south Wales. Happy but hard times makes you appreciate things when you get them.😁❤ this is a good movie.
Grew up poor in West Ireland. The Govt set up an aforestation organisation to buy up farms around here 30 years ago and bought up every small farm that came up for sale. Now that Govt Subsidiary is doing deals with Wind Farms and getting a fortune from the land.
So the small farms would have been viable with just one wind turbine (which the Govt depts knew would be coming), but they wanted the people gone and the land put beyond use, except for themselves.

I literally just started watching that series. I think it's pretty neat. It's a shame we can't have good shows like that any more.
I blame SEA HUNT for all the swim masks, snorkles and swim fins that our parents bought for us. And even though they were crap, those cheapo snorkels taught us how to bite, use our lips, form a seal and swim for hours. Of course, I blame SKY KING for making me learn to fly and buy a Cessna 310 (eventually). It's still one of the coolest planes around, whatever airport i land. I DO get tired of explaining the mask. "I'm not a bad guy. I'm not a robber. I just wear a mask..."

This was an incredible movie. We make any visitors to our house watch it if they are staying overnight. I lived in Texas for a decade or so, it was really filmed well.

I was scrolling to see if I was the only nerd to notice that 😂 is not quite that valuable, but at least worth what they stole, probably more even in rough shape. They were dirt cheap then. A lot changes in a few years!

I’m from this area and know all these towns. It is an absolutely dump. The people there have such a bad poverty mentality that they think making $1 above minimum wage is good money. One place in town had a fence made of mattresses around their yard

Before the 20 second mark of this video. I was searching for this movie. 1:39:00 later I'm back. It was a very good movie. The cinematography was excellent. I found my self really apart of the film.

Complicated but highly improbable plot in this movie. Background is poverty.Two sets of characters. One brothers set and second two arguing cops. Casinos and banks are settings.
