Ok people here is my Thor dark world commentary. For whatever reason ya didn’t watch it. So WATCH IT HERE:
fun fact: the actor that plays “fake thor” in the play scene is actually the third hemsworth brother!
This movie was amazing. I hate when people say “this movie was too funny” in a negative way. Like who goes “Wow I enjoyed that a lil too much. How dare Marvel”. Being really funny ≠ not being serious enough. Hela. the relationship with Thor between Loki, Valkyrie, and Banner. Korg. Grand Master. Thor unleashing his full potential. The humor. Taika Watiti was an amazing director. This movie is definitely in the row top of my Marvel tier list.
Thor Ragnarok is one of the best mcu movies of all time
As for what's up with Loki's knives, it's cause Loki is a mama's boy. In Asgard culture magic and dagger play is considered women's work while real men fight like Thor. Loki spent all his time learning how to fight and do spells with his mom. The "I didn't do it for him" line was significant because he didn't nearly died for his father, he did it to get revenge for his mommy.
Fun fact: a kid actually came up with the 'he's a friend from work' line. He was on set as part of a 'Make a Wish' thing when they were filming that scene and decided to shoot his shot. Lol
This movie literally made me a hard core Chris Hemsworth fan. I was already a thor fan but this movie made me a fan of Chris's acting as well. In real life also he is very hilarious
It’s funny how we thought Loki was the odd sibling out with the goth & green aesthetic but it turns out it was Thor that was the anomaly lmao
I say randomly "Piss off, Ghost!" everyday, it's just too good
Sir Anthony Hopkins playing Loki playing Odin playing Loki - such talent lol
Iron man = best first movie Captain America = best second movie Thor = best third movie Captain America = Best overall trilogy
My favorite loki moments are in this film:
Billy: “That’s a true warrior, he has a heart.”
Loki: "Do you think it's a good idea to bring me back to Earth?"
"Piss off, ghost!"
Besides the movies where the avengers are together, ragnarok, ant-man and guardians of the galaxy are by far my favs movies from the mcu
Taika Waititi saved the Thor franchise, imo. I love all the humour in this movie, easily one of my faves in the MCU.
So, of course Loki cast Matt Damon as Loki in the play, he’s an A-list actor! Loki cast the least-famous Hemsworth brother to play Thor. 😉 And Sam Neill as Odin because he was a local guy to filming Down Under.

Fun fact: Thor in the play is Luke Hemsworth...Chris Hensworth's brother
