Update 3-6-23: I took the test and passed! This video shows the basics of camber, caster, and toe. You should make it a priority to remember the symptoms of too much negative caster or too much positive caster(2 questions). Remember how an incorrect angle causes tire wear.
At 1:47 I give a specification to remember. I did not see it on the test. Cross camber and cross caster were mentioned on the test as possible answers.
The paragraph at 1:51 is accurate. You can be given a list of actual angle readings of camber caster and toe. You would then do the math and find out that camber is negative, out of spec on the driver's side and camber is positive and out of spec on the passenger's side. This condition sounds like a shifted cradle, questions like that (3 questions).
The info about toe starting at 2:30 will be on the test(1 question)
Toe-out-on-turns at 3:14 , like I said in the video, know which components affect this angle, also noise! If this angle is incorrect can it cause noise?(1 question)
Rear toe 3:39 and thrust angle changes is on the test.(4 questions)
SAI 5:04 know the purpose of SAI, this was not really detailed in the video (1 question)

obviously you passed. With how well you explained this information a 4 year old that knows nothing about cars would pass. You are an excellent teacher

What's the best books to read more on steering and suspension. I have the Motor Age training books and it didn't help at all.

@@MrEkdelsol I recommend the "Today's Technician" automotive series, specifically the steering and suspension books. There's a "classroom manual" and "shop manual." Anything above 5th edition should be good. These books are beefy and they will provide all the info you need.

Camber high caster low that’s the way the car will go - good little rhyme to use when diaging alignment issues

I had a question the last time I took it that asked what angle should you check for a bent steering shaft after a collision. I believe the answers were check kpi, included angle, caster, and I can’t remember the other one. Any thoughts?
