in terms of the trees, i think the shape fits bc there are now 3 oak wood varients, oak, dark, and now pale. I think using the same shape as dark oak makes sense, but i can definitely see why you'd want a different tree shape
Alright, I've got a slight problem with this. Sure there are new wood types. But If you really want us to explore the biome, add some sort of cool collectible item that lies there instead of just the creaking heart. And also what others are saying, add more ambiance, make it more dead, and make it have a dense fog. Make players feel something.
I kind of like the idea of a new biome that looks either frozen in time or dead. I can imagine a lot of storytelling and build concepts focused on the area when the update drops.
Ok guys hear me out, we all know how cherry blossoms trees have their own unique falling pedals affect right, why not give this fog affect to these new types of trees to add a eerie one of a kind feel to this new biome and for potential suspenseful builds?
It gives the biome more personality with its overall atmosphere. It would be perfect to capture that feel if this were to be done. Then more ideas for players can come to mind for what they want to create
- My suggestion is to replace regular vibrant grass blocks with mud blocks or new dead grass blocks - Add fog when you enter pale garden are - Make a tree taller
- make it so the creeking does poses like weeping angels do when you look at them - a fog is needed but i think they should add something new: mist! It will be only low to the ground unlike fog. - it's called the pale garden so i'd love to see a lot more flowers and plants, OR even a new crop. - add a new carpet like block called twigs. When stepped on it makes sounds like the creeking or has a chance to. - make it so the pale leaves stay white/gray even out of biomes. Other than that everything is perfect especially the woodset!
Also i think owls should be added, for another ambient mob that can drop feathers, attacks rabbits, is nocturnal, and is neutral (can attack player if bothered). Could have them spawn in with a nest block, that when broken makes the owl aggressive for a short time. This nest can be made from 8 sticks and 1 moss, drops 2 sticks and rarely eggs, and looks sorta like a half block composter. It would only spawn in taller trees that have branches, like acacia, oak, cherry, ect. During the day the owls sleep in their nests and bees (if any spawned) take their place roaming about. There has to be some level of mobs spawning in the biome, but limited for the erie vibe. Rabbits, Foxes, and Bees could fill most of that niche since they are quite mobs. Plus rabbits and foxes have pale color varients, as do frogs as well. I am undecided if sheep should spawn there, but definitely not pigs, chicken, or cattle. Also there would definitely have to be some variation to owl types, considering the different trees their nests could spawn in.
It needs more, this is totally empty. Fog? Taller willow trees? An actual purpose to go here? Maybe be able to craft something with the creaking heart. Maybe a unique scary temple?
It really just needs some major objective, like ruins with unique loot, so that people have a reason to venture in and get rid of the creaking. I hope Mojang is paying attention to the fact that every single comment and reaction to this has been constructive criticism. We like the concept, it’s just not there yet.
Ya, right now it feels like the only reason you would go there would be to experience it and to get the blocks Also yes I hope they don't see it as us being needy and see that we think concept is really cool it just need a biiiit more.
Here’s a couple ideas: 1. “Sap root”: A new type of plant or moss-like block that grows in thick, wide patches around the garden which slows your speed and saps your health whenever you’re touching it, simultaneously increasing the speed of the Creaking and healing it. It varies in height like sugar cane or snow, and the taller it is the stronger the slowing and sapping effects are. It could generate where the Creaking walks, like snow does for snow golems. It can’t be destroyed or collected until the Creaking is defeated. 2. “Loose dirt”: A new block that falls like gravel and sand when stepped on, but not when placed. Throughout the pale garden are randomly generated holes 4-8 blocks deep, covered with loose dirt that collapses under you when you walk on it and drops you into the hole. The holes could be filled with tall sap root, making them harder to get out of quickly while the Creaking closes in. The Creaking could also cause mining fatigue when it gets close enough, which makes escaping the holes even harder.
so SCP-173 or weeping angels are coming with creppy looking forest, thats cool but we also need reason to come to that forest (except wood) and the Fog would be very welcome addition to game.
That’s the problem with Minecraft updates they only add decoration items and that’s okay I guess but most people won’t go looking for these places just to get a block
Make the biome rare but double or triple its size, add tall trees, some structure like a tower that you can kinda see at a distance before entering the biome to give the feeling that when you get inside the biome you'll imediatly get lost or some kind of underground maze (maybe both), put some unique loot there,a unique usefull item at least to encourage exploring that biome for a long period of time Maybe some creaking variants, like a taller one idk
yes I agree with this, right now the biome just looks really bland and the creaking isn't even that powerful to give a true horror element, would be nice to add fog and make the eyes a whole lot dimmer, and adding a sharp wailing or scream would be nice
Thatll probably be the creaking heart. Imagine being able to have your own creaking. Maybe even a new armor type that could make a creaking for you that acts like a dog in minecraft
@@smggl64 Fine. then stop making new shity updates and focus all the attencion in mod support, mine is only alive thanks to mods and servers (hypixel is a poison tho)
Suggestion list: 1. Add more designs to it and have it spawn with one of the designs randomly so that it can blend in with the forest better. Or players can easily identify where the creaking is purely based on its silhouette. 2. Add fog to decrease visibility but allows the eyes of creaking to be seen even in the fog. 3. Add taller trees instead of just a bunch of small trees cramped into one place. Visibility drop isn't just more trees, fog is the way. Instead, having taller trees while being in a foggy environment allows for a more space, which imo is more spooky cause it is too empty and quiet but you know something is watching you. 4. However, players won't be scared purely by the environment alone if they know there's no threat. The major problem with the creaking is that it does too little damage. Half a heart in iron armour????? make it higher! The threat level is toooooo low to be scared of! 5. at least add an effect when hit by the creaking like blindness or slowness or a new effect or sth! Having blindness is a great addition, cause players placing torches in the pale garden is a hard counter to the blend-in mechanic of the creaking, so making players blind can make it less effective against the creaking!
I love the concept and mood of the pale garden but it needs a second mob for the biome and a structure maybe a fast but weak mob and make the creaking stronger
Things this biome needs; - New flowers that match the biome - Any placed flower that is not from the new biome slowly turn gray, (to match with the biome vibe) - Tall trees - Dense Fog - Distorted sounds/Echo in sounds But honestly, I liked the idea of the new biome.
The concept behind this biome is cool, but the execution is pretty poor. It should look more dead and unnatural, and there should be fog or something to add to the atmosphere.
Also a purpose, a reason why people shouldn't just ignore it the second time they see this biome. You will get a sapling and leave that's it, no new content other than the wood.
@@detto1998not everything in Minecraft needs a purpose, by this logic what’s the purpose of the Savannah? Or the birch forest? Mangrove swamp? Cherry Grove? It doesn’t need a purpose.
Ok big problem with this biome though. there is no real reason to go here besides the new trees. I feel like it needs more... Edit: I actually really like the update I'm just giving suggestions to make it better... Some of you need to calm down
That's true, but this biome is kinda like a dark oak forest or an average cherry Grove, no reason to go there, just part of the world. But, what would fix it would be like a spooky mansion that makes people have a reason to find it.
Honestly feel like they forgot about Sniffer. It wasn't done justice. Pretty sure there was meant to be AT LEAST 1 more flower type, but they kept it like this. Imo, going through effort of growing Sniffers only to get 2 flowers feels meh.. The flowers are unique, but that's it, all of that for some tiny decoration detail.
Things it needs: 1. Fog 2. Sine tall trees 3. Fireflies the color of the creaking eyes 4. Dead flowers 5. Rotting pumpkins 6. Music stops when you enter 7. Random sound around you like something stepping on twigs to make it feel like something is watching you 8. Abandoned/ruined campsites 9. Some sort of ruins that are abandoned and seemed like they were attacked 10. More spooky plants, it is a garden after all 11. Maybe they can add another small mob that hangs and swings from trees and seems to follow you, add more features if ya want 12. Some sort of ghost thing that you always seem to see in the corner of your eye but when you look at it, it isn’t there, maybe it never was 13. Pale dirt/grass 14. Twigs that snap and make sound when you step on them
I've said this once and I'll say it again because I like the idea, They should add White Pumpkins to the Pale Garden And when you wear a carved White Pumpkin the Creaking should ignore you Edit : For anyone who thinks it would make the Pale Garden too easy Maybe you could put the Carved White Pumpkin with other hard to obtain items To balance it Also maybe this Enhanced Carved White Pumpkin Could have orange glowing eyes Edit 2 : okay fine, How about to keep the "Challenge" there If you break a Creaking heart with the Pumpkin on The Creaking will attack you anyway, How is that?
Minecraft Story mode is where the White Pumpkins are from Edit : My Comment Got allot of likes and I'm hoping Mojang will see the Comment and add it Edit 2 : ( Because the original comment is getting a bit too big ) They could also make the White Pumpkin Instead, And they could call the White Pumpkins Pale Pumpkins instead
We clearly see its unifinished.. Heres some ideas As others said fog, the biome needs fog Modify the creaking sound to have more deeper sounds and othrr types of creaks The trees needs to be redone, i agree with ecko. The pale garden is to much of a retextured dark forest. Make sure it doesnt move at all when looked at, no rotating ect
Bro it's the same all the updates "it's unfinished and it will be much better when they release it" and at the tease they just add 3 new pixels to the grass and a tree 1 block taller
This is really cool im digging it! but as others have pointed it out it could be even better with: some orange fireflies to help conceal the creaking eyes (makes you pay more attention) unique plants like white pumpkins gravestones or graveyards as the biome specific structure and maybe some fog and use for the creaking heart
My problem with this is no urge to explore it in actual gameplay. There is no reward. I'll walk in grab a tree, some saplings, moss and leave. The Creaking can be creepy but it's about as creepy as any horror game mod from the 2010s. In comparison the Warden uses your entire moveset and any prior knowledge of how the game works against you. Taking you out of your comfort zone and keeping you on edge at all times. Additionally it rewards you for getting over all the new hurdles it throws at you with some decent treasure. All I see here is ooh spooky... Thanks for the white wood though
@@r6scrubs126 what's the point of adventuring into a dangerous place if i won't get any rewards? I'll just go in for the first time, wander around, think is cool and never come back to it because there's no reason to
I am a teacher, I play this when the students have their snack, they love this movie... and they love all the characters in this movie. Thank you so much
For the biome, I think it would be epic if it was constantly covered in fog at night. Like you can see the fog from the outside, but its not see through, and then when you enter the garden you can see through the fog. This would force you to enter the biome without being able to see it, and thus if a Creaking is waiting at the entrance, you can't see it until you're near it. Bonus points for a fog machine or fog in a bottle as extra incentives to actually come here. Both would let you create a veil of fog on your own.
Do not copy and paste the dark forest biome and then talk about inspiration for the trees. Make the trees 1 block at base, taller, and make the leaves spread out and droop. If a weeping willow was the goal, a beautiful idea, then make the weeping willow. Make the tree 15 blocks high if you have to
It would be so much better to have the trees all high up like this! Would definitely give off a feeling of "there's no way to escape". Right now you jump up 2-3 blocks and now you can run on top of all the trees, but with this that would be much more of a challenge, if possible
The creaker should do more damage and/or be faster. Entering the biome should reduce the fog on the player or apply the effect of blindness. There should be tall trees. And a purpose would be needed to go there. Otherwise it's an excellent job! I love that more horror concepts are being introduced into the game
What if you could use the creaking heart to craft a sort of beacon for wooden tools. The creaking heart empowers wood so what if you could harness that power, like within the range of a creaking heart beacon, wooden tools are better than Diamond tools. But only within that range and it should be difficult to craft this new creaking heart beacon.
Needs 1. Tall trees 2. Fog 3. Make the heart useful for players other then decoration 4. Make a structure 5. Add more plants for the update 6. Add a creaking boss 7. Add white pumpkins 8. Make the creaking boss drop a unique item 9. Make the vines gives you damage 10. Make a creaking music
I can see some great potential for this mob! I have an idea... A few ideas, actually... The Creaking will drop a Creaking Shard when killed. Filling every slot in a Crafting Table with Creaking Shards can create Creaking Cores, which can be used to make Creaking Tools, like the Creaking Sword, Creaking Axe, Creaking Pickaxe, Creaking Shovel, and the Creaking Hoe. The crafting recipe, of course will stay the same, so crafting a Creaking Sword will be the exact same as crafting a Diamond Sword, but you use Creaking Cores instead of Diamonds. We could also have a new "Creaking" effect which makes it so that every few steps, you take a bit of damage. A creaking noise will also play when this damage occurs. The Creaking Tools can also have some special ability (for example, every hit from the Creaking Sword has a 25% chance to apply the Creaking effect on the target for a random duration from 15 seconds to a minute). It would also be cool to add Creaking Armor, and maybe even a Creaking Shield and a Creaking Bow! Maybe even a Creaking Banner Pattern! This would be really cool to have in the game. And if you (the reader) have made it this far, thanks for listening to me ramble on and on about some ideas that probably never will make it into the game. But if you're one of the devs, PLEASE consider this. I know it might be a stretch, but I would be honored if my ideas were once actually noticed. Thanks so much for your time reading this, and have a wonderful rest of your day. - FireLordSSBU 🔥

First of all make the trees taller and the leaves themselves more drapey and the vines longer to go with the taller trees. Second you should maybe add fog and some type of flower that matches the biome color when the sun is out but then when its night it changes color to look like the creepings eyes so the creeping can blend in more at night. Last maybe make the creeping a bit taller and more lanky or is that too unnecessary?

I know this is kinda weird, but how about the stronger armour you have on the more damage the creaking does, unless your wearing leather, giving an actual use to wearing full leather, and making them even more unique
Hear me out, add fog into the pale garden but the second players go in, it hides name tags so it gives more of “lost in the woods” vibe and eerie feeling while being in that biome, even though you go in with your friends, you could still be very much alone…
My suggestion would be to completely overhaul the trees. Make them look more like actual willows, don't just copy the already existing design. Also, maybe add some other tall tree types for more variation, as others are suggesting. Some dead trees would also be cool. Also, fog is a must. If you really want it to feel eerie, some structures would also be cool, like an abandoned, decayed village or something. Maybe make the water in this biome poisonous/withered, so that it's more difficult and creepy. And most importantly, give players a reason to go there in the first place, because if you won't, it's just going to be useless and annoying - minecraft world already has a lot of biomes, so we don't want another one which will be simply avoided since there's no reason to explore it.
the creaking heart block should have its log texture enclose around the heart during daytime, making the block look either identical or hard to spot in comparison to the logs around it, this can help prevent "safety proofing" the biome before nightfall in early game, ensuring that when first encountering these blocks they're fully active, and the mood is set
@@ConnorSemp I just kinda wish the trees and biome felt more distinctly different from the dark oak forest... Like at least change the trees or something
It's kinda hard to decide what to add to a game like minecraft and what to not add, with player's suggestions, they could turn Minecraft to another one of those mod games, what makes minecraft special is its simpleness, that's why updates are so rare.
I like that it’s not trying to be overwhelming. It’s a part of the world, it’s there, it exists. Doesn’t have to have some revolutionary and groundbreaking new changes, it’s just a small thing to add to the world in a natural way
Idk why people thought this was gonna be an end update after saying they're doing smaller updates. Edit: Even if they were to do it in smaller updates, Mojang already said that they won't add the End Update until every existing feature in Minecraft like the biome votes are added. It's sad but true so don't be expecting an End Update anytime soon.
It would be great if there were special parts of the forest where trees spawn less and are more likely to have multiple creaking hearts and tons of tall white grass spawned, after walking through the tall grass you’ll eventually find an abandoned village made out of the pale wood and with some different buildings. Also, they could make it so evoker hutches spawned in this biome, as well as mushrooms that look similar to the creaking’s eyes.
Idea way not add the zombie horse in the middle in the wood as a reward. Give the players a reason to enter the forest and finely a use for the zombie horse.
That actually would be so perfect. Maybe a dilapidated stable or something guarded by zombies. not a huge thing gameplay wise, but at least a reason to enter the garden
Everybody please remember that this is a Game Drop and not a major update so the added content is more of a seasonal based addition rather than a game expansion.
This biome already interests me, can I make a suggestion about it? As a Minecraft player, I think the only uses for this new biome will be to gather this new wood or the creaking Heart. Could we add other reasons to go there? For example, a structure in the biome would be cool.
A commenter suggested graveyards and I felt like that would be a cool addition. Though I guess the desert and jungle temples would already count as tombs
Just because the biome is “pale” doesn’t mean it has to be “bland.” People are right to suggest adding fog, fireflies, and maybe a new type of bird like owl or crow to give off a more spooky vibe. And maybe redesign the trees so it doesn’t look like just a retextured dark oak forest.

- a fog is needed but i think they should add something new: mist!

@@Cosm1cxzzor it’s some sort of trap, that catches u until u destroy it, like some sort of roots
@@TearfulZorua bro u gotta say this in the main chat where they can see it! I love the ideas.

@@noatouw this is quite literally a community suggestion that I commented, is it not?
@@tank-stubbs small size ≠ underwhelming feature quality. The biome is lacking and this is the community feedback on what they’ve made so far
It really just needs some major objective, like ruins with unique loot, so that people have a reason to venture in and get rid of the creaking.
I hope Mojang is paying attention to the fact that every single comment and reaction to this has been constructive criticism. We like the concept, it’s just not there yet.
If Mojang is spending a year on an update (which I am not saying is bad) then they should at least give players a reason to do stuff in the update
Ya, right now it feels like the only reason you would go there would be to experience it and to get the blocks
Also yes I hope they don't see it as us being needy and see that we think concept is really cool it just need a biiiit more.
at least you can still prank your friends and stuff
LOL you think Mojang is going to listen to its player base that's hilarious
yes it needs some ruins
Here’s a couple ideas:

Make the biome rare but double or triple its size, add tall trees, some structure like a tower that you can kinda see at a distance before entering the biome to give the feeling that when you get inside the biome you'll imediatly get lost or some kind of underground maze (maybe both), put some unique loot there,a unique usefull item at least to encourage exploring that biome for a long period of time
Maybe some creaking variants, like a taller one idk
yes I agree with this, right now the biome just looks really bland and the creaking isn't even that powerful to give a true horror element, would be nice to add fog and make the eyes a whole lot dimmer, and adding a sharp wailing or scream would be nice
Thatll probably be the creaking heart. Imagine being able to have your own creaking. Maybe even a new armor type that could make a creaking for you that acts like a dog in minecraft
YOU WANT A MOD JUST PLAY MODDED
@@smggl64 Fine. then stop making new shity updates and focus all the attencion in mod support, mine is only alive thanks to mods and servers (hypixel is a poison tho)
@@smggl64 theyre giving suggestions to add to the update drop.
Suggestion list:
This.

- Any placed flower that is not from the new biome slowly turn gray, (to match with the biome vibe)

- Distorted sounds/Echo in sounds
But honestly, I liked the idea of the new biome.

Getting a sniffer on this biome gives you a very unique flower
Or if there is an flower and the creek is there and when u "blink" the flower will turn grey
The delicate flower from hollow knight would be an excellent Easter egg, just make sure you don't take damage.
Imagine it summons flowey
I think naturally spawning flower would be a must. But having the sniffer dig up an additional unique otherworldly flower would be cool.
Things it needs:
1. Fog
2. Sine tall trees
3. Fireflies the color of the creaking eyes
4. Dead flowers
5. Rotting pumpkins
6. Music stops when you enter
7. Random sound around you like something stepping on twigs to make it feel like something is watching you
8. Abandoned/ruined campsites
9. Some sort of ruins that are abandoned and seemed like they were attacked
10. More spooky plants, it is a garden after all
11. Maybe they can add another small mob that hangs and swings from trees and seems to follow you, add more features if ya want
12. Some sort of ghost thing that you always seem to see in the corner of your eye but when you look at it, it isn’t there, maybe it never was
13. Pale dirt/grass
14. Twigs that snap and make sound when you step on them

The point is to have an atmospheric area to build something in.

Yo I’m actually down for that fog bottle thing. Have like a splash potion and make fog be around for little while.

I love that more horror concepts are being introduced into the game
let's make a warden 2.0 then. Too easy? Let's make it do half your health in one hit, negating armor points.
Frfr, i was begging to have ANY more thing with horros aspects, and this update made me so happy, specially since it's just annouced bfore halloween!!
Also the Creaking should be tree sized. Would be possible with taller trees overall.

It should like evaporate away when you break the heart, kinda like a thanos snap if that makes sense 😂

I like that it’s not trying to be overwhelming. It’s a part of the world, it’s there, it exists. Doesn’t have to have some revolutionary and groundbreaking new changes, it’s just a small thing to add to the world in a natural way
Roblox has more games and its better than Minetrash 🗑️🚮
@@BellathewolfFan2020I can smell the rage bait in this one
I’d rather play Minecraft on Roblox than this garbage
Least obvious rage bait
Yeah why would the mob or heart have any purpose when it can just be another one of those contents that everyone ignores.
@@ChrisPezetyou do realize that they can change it during the snapshot phaze of development?
They can do multiple small end updates to make up for a big one..
@@ChrisPezet true
Idk why yall expect an end update. Its too big job for mojang to handle
Small updates shouldent take a year
It would be great if there were special parts of the forest where trees spawn less and are more likely to have multiple creaking hearts and tons of tall white grass spawned, after walking through the tall grass you’ll eventually find an abandoned village made out of the pale wood and with some different buildings.
Also, they could make it so evoker hutches spawned in this biome, as well as mushrooms that look similar to the creaking’s eyes.
I'm definitely not the only one who thinks that the Pale Garden looks exactly like the Dark Forest we already have.
Yeah, it's just a lazy copy and paste. Bot with moss
LADS! LADS I FOUND HIM!
*It's the bliggety bloke in the replies who thinks Sipover is worth the oxygen!*
That's right.
No one complaining when the did the same things to birch forst or taiga spruce forst
Yeah it’s just a more dull version of the dark oak forest and the only difference is the creaking and mansions only spawn in dark oak forests
Idea way not add the zombie horse in the middle in the wood as a reward. Give the players a reason to enter the forest and finely a use for the zombie horse.
I think the skeleton horse would be more fitting.
@@bijivarughese5601 yes, but zombie horses cant spawn naturally/spawn in survival so this could be a chance for them to
@@ToiletDestroyer2000 but it zombie horses don't fit the gray-scale vibe of pale gardens. Zombie horses would fit the swamps the best imo.
That actually would be so perfect. Maybe a dilapidated stable or something guarded by zombies. not a huge thing gameplay wise, but at least a reason to enter the garden
Everybody please remember that this is a Game Drop and not a major update so the added content is more of a seasonal based addition rather than a game expansion.
yes, but they could at least think about adding fog or something or fireflies also. They want it to be creepy but in no way have done that
oh no... I'm doing a challenge where I have to move to a new biome every 100 days...I'm going to have to live here for 100 days, lol

This actually gives me somehow Stranger Things vibes. What a great update idea!
As a horror fan, this is the biggest dream come true ever. I wasnt really happy with the Warden, but this is just perfect. Add fog, and ur all set.
theres literally just one mob added, what dream? u want to stand in a low saturation forest and do nothing?
This biome already interests me, can I make a suggestion about it?
As a Minecraft player, I think the only uses for this new biome will be to gather this new wood or the creaking Heart. Could we add other reasons to go there? For example, a structure in the biome would be cool.
A commenter suggested graveyards and I felt like that would be a cool addition. Though I guess the desert and jungle temples would already count as tombs
@@requiesticati dont think theyre tombs, theyre more like treasury's
this seems like something from a horror Minecraft mod.
*imagine they then add pages to the trees.*
Sounds like a Sender: The Arrival crossover
You could say the same thing about any new update.
