I think this is the RIGHT setup for this group. Mic'd properly. Right members. No bass drum. No female singer. Just the male singer sometimes. Washboard man a must have. Perfect.
Pardon me for disagreeing. I think Erika is essential. Just compare the songs that Erika sings when she is there and when she isn't. Also, a bit of male/female duetting is necessary with some of those songs. Shaye sings OK, but she's already got too much to do during a performance.
@@BudgieJane I've never seen a recording with Shaye singing. Here are two songs I absolutely love Erika in: th-cam.com/video/DmIrEr6MsxU/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/hTainjvzeoI/w-d-xo.html
My comment was a cup of tea moment and not sure I would even write this now.
@@aspencrest For Shaye singing, look for "When they ring them golden bells". There's also one with her singing "Freight Train" with Greg, at th-cam.com/video/rceYiDTOYsM/w-d-xo.html
Tuba Skinny, LO MÁXIMO 30/8/20
Thanks for this very fine recording of The Best Band playing today! I Love these guys. T.S. Your playing superbly here. Thank you.
My goodness, how these musicians just keep improving and improving. Everything is perfect. I really like how the bass has mastered the John Kirby sound. And when Robin gets that back beat going, it just drives things into glory. They're all soooo good at this. I'm stopping now, lest I become boring.
This makes you happy!👍😃
And thank you, Chevron.

¡El blues del cerrojo! Pure unadulterated Jazz, no fakery whatsoever!
This program should be its own CD. There isn't a weak (relatively speaking) number on it.
