Azadi Records is proud to present 'Czawul', the first single by Srinagar-based hip-hop duo Straight Outta Srinagar (S.O.S). Formed by Tufail Nazir and Syed Arsalan (Aatanki) in 2020, Straight Outta Srinagar has been one of the most exciting talents to emerge from the conflict-plagued valley in recent times. What sets the duo apart is their uninhibited proclamation of their hopes, desires and ambitions beyond their political convictions and their steadfast belief in the role that hip-hop culture can play in helping young Kashmiris articulate the same. 'Czawul' builds on the excitement that has surrounded Tufail and Aatanki since the release of their singles Psycho, Haan Hum Wahi and Beta Naaz Hai and collaborative efforts with Kashmir's Finest AHMER, singer-songwriter Ali Saffudin and veteran rapper SXR.
Produced by Prxphecy, an upcoming producer from Kashmir, 'Czawul' sees the duo deliver a relentless series of narrative-filled 16 bars and attack the microphone with the ferocity, ambition and purpose commonly found in artists with an expansive and concrete creative vision. With multiple singles, an EP and a collaborative mixtape in the pipeline, S.O.S are on a warpath in 2021.
