Produced by Zero Chill, ‘Alamgaar’ sees the Srinagar-based prodigy link up with Straight Outta Srinagar and Team Evo - two of the most exciting duo’s to emerge from the South Asian hip-hop scene over the last year. The five MCs, led by Ahmer, deliver a scathing indictment of recent trends that have come to dominate the conversation around South Asian hip-hop and how certain artists have exploited this and betrayed the culture. ‘Alamgaar’ is a defiant declaration against the encroachment of commercial interests that stagnate the evolution of the creative pillars that act as the foundation of the genre and is delivered by five artists who will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of this art form.
