@@sgsjosh2000 For me personally, spending time in the secret place on my knees crying out to God and praying through Psalm 51 led to breakthrough in that area, and other sin I was struggling with.
Fasting helps too because it breaks the power of your flesh and its desires over your life. Pastor Vlad has some good resources for fasting, like a devotional and reading plan.
If you’re married, you should also pray about confessing and repenting to your wife. It was painful for both of us when I told my wife because she had been blissfully unaware, but our marriage came out stronger.
@@sgsjosh2000 What helped me get back to the Lord & therefore stop it was the reminding of the Holy Spirit, who spoke to me to my spirit “you have no relationship with Christ!” & then repeatedly the Lord said “read the Bible”, “read the Bible”, so I started reading the Bible & it created the fear of the Lord in me! Also prior to hearing His voice, I had watched many near-death experience testimonies of hell & heaven which created the fear of the Lord but what really changed me was His wake up call for me to read the Bible, no relationship with Him. I started reading the Bible daily without fail & praying everyday (the Bible says “pray continuously”). When I was set free from this oppression, I was very ashamed of the fact that the Lord was watching me committing the sin of lust! So shameful! But reading the Bible & praying daily are weapons against these strongholds!!! It’s amazing!

I met Richard at the Men of Valor v1's men conference and he was a major part of my breakthrough! I told him he inspired me for encouraging me to be bold in the Holy Spirit and to speak about my testimony which was similar to his. My dad was there with me who was the reason I was scared to share my testimony and even though that was three short weeks ago I have now gone on two podcasts which my dad has seen and we have been closer than ever and I am more bold in the spirit than ever before to share with people about the sexual sin that I came out of that was a secret to most of those close to me! I am an active prayer warrior, Lord has burdened my heart to pray for these group of people who are inflicted with the spirit of confusion in their lives. I have no space in my heart to condemn them. In my spiritual discernment, there is the invisible evil spirit who is instigating in their emotions, desires and a lifestyle that is beyond the norm. In the scripture, Jesus have mentioned that the days will come when these confusion will come to pass. As a believer in Jesus Christ, I just don't have to be a spectator of those who are falling on the cliff but be a rescuer. One time I spoke to the Lord about them when I was in the mall, a throng of gays were together shopping, I said Lord what is going on? Lord prompted me to lift them up in prayer and believe that the Holy Spirit will let down on them to desire to be changed and the Spirit of Transformation will be manifested. Believers are being challenged or also tested of their faith. We as believers should not just be satisfied as saved through faith in Jesus Christ. I believe God will question every believer regarding those people who are living in total darkness and some have negative reaction to their lifestyle. We are in a spiritual warfare, no doctor or medication can heal them. I look upon Jesus, Great Healer. He can heal us physically and spiritually. I believe, as I am telling my fellow- believers in our small prayer group that as long as these lost people are still living in their mortal bodies, there is hope for them to be liberated or uprooted from oppression of demonic spirit instigating them to behave contrary to God's plan for their life. We are all created from God's image to glorify Him. As a prayer warrior, we are God's public servant to lobby in the halls of the kingdom of heaven, to tap(pray), tap, tap, the deepest wells of God's throne of Grace, Mercy and Love. We continuously bombard heaven with our persistent prayer, clamor for a change on those who are oppressed by the power of darkness. In God's time, the Spirit of transformation will come down. That's how he speaks, he is not pretending to be this way or trying to make his voice a certain way. This is him created in God's image, his identity is in Christ Jesus.

Such a powerful word. Thank you for sharing this and opening up both of your hearts. I don’t struggle with homosexuality personally, nonetheless, I was impacted by this and Richard’s willingness to humble himself to Jesus.
Can you be gay and be a Christian? Richard says “no”. ?? Perhaps, if you couldn’t really give up that life, initially, then, one could argue whether you actually became a Christian in the first place. So “no” would be correct.
As Isaiah says, there’s no gradation re sin; you’ve either sinned or you haven’t - and we all have, fornicators, thieves, liars etc
But you could slip up and fall back into that sin, I guess. But repent again and be forgiven.
So, could it be that you’re “gay” in worldly tendency but refuse to “practice”. Similar to “eye-bounce” training if you see a pretty girl on the sidewalk (path)? You’re not responsible for the initial thought or look but you are responsible for what you do with it?
But does this go back to identity, too. When you’re “saved” I.e. you give your life to Christ, you are now one with Him, and Jesus isn’t “gay” or a “fornicator” or “liar”etc So your identity then becomes Christ.
And Richard’s right, is the sin we hate, not the person. Well done that chap who gave you that hug. We love Richard, s as God does. But hate the sin.
But Richard, your heart seemed to be “good and pure” at heart. You came to and recognised Christ, His love and His way for you, so could turn from your sinful ways and turn to Him for life and light.
Many seem hell-bent on pursuing the wrong lifestyle and positively don’t want to change.
I have a cousin who is gay. Will he get to Heaven? I pray so.

I've never heard of deliverance through dreams but I've experienced something like what he described - I used to be in the occult and was certainly AT LEAST oppressed (though more than likely possessed). After coming to know Jesus, I had this nightmare where I called out to the Lord and saw the crucifixion and the Holy Spirit was then with me, and we went through several reoccurring nightmare figures I had, and the Lord removed the nightmare to reveal the truth underneath. Finally there was a demon standing there, and I saw it and we intentionally went towards it. It growled at me and swiped at me with it's claws - and at that exact moment in this world, my son kicked me and I felt his toenails - simultaneously with the demon claws. And I knew it was gone. Have had demonic encounters sense then, as my husband is only recebtly a new Christian, and is still a Freemason. Praying the Lord continues to work in him.
